It's loosing alright..Nintendo can't seem to shake of their kiddie image. it's all a matter of promotion really. Over here' they haven't promoted it at all. They really outta loose the nintendo name. Just like Toyota when they made the Lexus, and look how it made the difference (it was toyota right? )

Sorry, I was directing that question at the creator of this thread and his assertion that because something sells well that it musnt be good. That means the Dreamcast must have been an awful console, when quite the reverse is true. If you reverse the logic, it means that only good things will sell well, which is an equally fictious arguement.

The GC is not a bad console in fact the opposite; the RE series is well animated and the sound is superb.
It is the fact that the range of games is sorely limited and aimed predominantly at the younger niche of the market - stupid really - how many kids have disposable income suffcicient to purchase a game a month??!!!??

I agree with Member 27. While GameCube certainly has the lowest sales, I hear far more often that X-Box is a weaker system (game-wise), especially from online communities.
I reserve the right to be entirely wrong.

The point Im making is that whether a console is "good" or "bad" is a totally subjective thing, because every console has its ups and downs, and how important they are depends totally on your taste. There is no definitive "worst" or "best" console because it is totally in the eye of the beholder (ugh, I hate invoking cliches).

Zelda collector's disc anyone? the new metroid game? mario tennis for gamecube? nights of symphonia? The brand new zelda game featuring *gasp* realistic, mindblowing graphics? play any gameboy game ever made on the TV? gamecube is the shit, pardon my french, and any idiot who likes games should own one. and it's cheaper than air conditioning unlike <ahem> some other consoles.

I don't even have to say anything about how stupid you are if you're sh [WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE] ing on the collector's disc. try and find a used one for less than $60. and you clearly don't believe in metacritic because it got a 94. go play barbie's dream house somewhere else.

Hmmm ... I actually have the Zelda: Collectors Disc, and have stated this in a thread you have posted in. Its good and all, but I think I made a valid point about it in my post you maturely and kindly decided to flame.
