Boring, lame, pathetic, and totally unfunny. Why do people waste film on uninspired subjects? Enduring this film was like attempting to read Jane Eyre in high school, unbearable. Thankfully, I don't know any losers like these guys and I didn't gain any insight watching the film. Probably the worst movie I watched that year.
"If it were beneficial, their father would produce children already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become profitable in every respect." -Jesus, from the Gospel Of Thomas

I loved this film ... but then again, I also love Jane Eyre. But for me it probably worked because there was a point in the film where I stopped thinking of the people portrayed as losers. This guy was incredibly hard working and dedicated to making a film. The only difference between him and some highly paid directors is that he is about as far from Hollywood as you can get, has little money and no wealthy parents or friends or other connections to help him out. This is not me saying he's an amazing director, just that he has an amazing work ethic and unshakeable pursuit of his dreams. I admire that rather than look down on it. I saw him as sort of a Don Quixote figure, or perhaps it was just a portrait of a person who I will never meet. I'm easy to please, I really like taking a look into other people's lives and learning their stories.

Yeah, I really want to see this one! The guy who made this also made "Home Movie" which is short (like 70 minutes) but overall fascinating.
