Why in the world is there only one readable user review for this movie? ANd why is it a 9? With an average of 2.2 or so, I'd say the 9 is in the minority, and is probably the only thing keeping this movie from something like .1 or .2 at best. Any comments, explanations, ideas, arguments (i'm SURE there'll be some of those)?
I'm afraid that most of the people that have watched this movie will give it a positive rating for these reasons: 1. Most people don't go to documentaries. 2. The commercials, articles and puff-pieces on the conservative radio and television shows are enough to make anyone who doesn't already buy the premise want to avoid it like the plague. 3. Preview showings are restricted as much as possible to "approved" critics and church leaders. 4. Churches and religious private schools are being asked to tell their congregation/students to attend, skewing audience polls.

Yeah, and it's funny that the displayed comment has such a bad case of projection.
Silencing opponents? You mean like suing XVIVO for exposing Expelled's theft of their hard work, or disallowing people who might be critical from seeing the movie?
Philosophical agenda? You mean like the wedge document, which admits that without research, ID is just propaganda? All of the stated goals for research have been completely failed, by the way, and they're continuing to push forward with the propaganda parts.
Unprepared for real debate? You mean like the real debate that goes on over any scientific theory, of which creationism/ID hasn't been able to defend itself from for over a hundred years?
And really, it's the Expelled creators who are pulling out all the stops to keep people who aren't already completely unaware of the reality of how weak and useless ID is from seeing the movie.
