i sat through the entire presentation by the woodmeister, or as he prefers to call himself, the 'former next president' of the united state of America.
recently, a bunch of climate scientists who saw the film complemented gore on getting the science mostly right. watching the thing, i too was impressed with how deep and far-ranging he was with the data. he painted a strong and convincing case, and except for a few needless partisan potshots, the film was fairly satisfying.
as a speaker, he's improved mightily. it may that he has found his mission in life, something with a significance that isn't as messy or complicated by bickering as politics sadly is.

I finally got a chance to see this the other night and was quite pleased. I didn't learn very much, and I suspect most people who watched it were actually part of the choir. Too bad the people who really need to see it are too close-minded to give AG a chance. I understand now why all the lefty pundits were clamoring for Gore the bore to run for president again, he really seemed human and even charismatic at times (good editing?). Should this be in the Documentary section?

What if Obama gets into White House and turns out to be some crazy muslim terrorist? What do we do then? We'll be pretty screwed. It could happen." -- by some fucking nutjob

Most of the republicans feel that the environment is nowhere near a priority and that we "bleeding hearts" should get over it. I remember wanting to see this when it was in theatres and being laughed at by republicans because "who cares about global warning?!" Stupid, I know.
