I just saw this move over the weekend.I thought it was one of the most filthy movies i would ever see, but at the same time it was absolutely hilarious.
This is the kind of documentary i love, shining light on something that I would basically not know existed.
There was about a half dozen people who walked out after about 5 minutes or so.I can totally see how it would offend most people, but it is just words?I wasnt offended at any time.
Has anyone else seen it?

Trey Parker/Matt Stone made a brief South Park version of the joke for the movie (I guess), and I think I saw that before I even knew about the documentary - so at the end when Stan says "I don't get it" followed by Cartman's "yeah, me either" I too was in the dark.
If you don't know it's about the titular joke which started as a vaudeville excuse to work as blue as possible, because back then the language was a hell of a lot more offensive than it is now. Today it's sort of an anti-joke, because it's all in the set-up and none in the punchline. That's probably what I liked most about it, like "how many layers of irony can we add to this?" Steven Wright called it a secret handshake of sorts amongst comedians.
I just watched this recently. Meh. Maybe if I had seen it before the hype I would have enjoyed it more.

Ummm, I find the lack of response here to speak volumes more than comments could ever say. Shock humour for comedians? I find it very strange that this was allowed to be on normal TV in todays dead PC climate. I'm very suspicious about the whole thing.
THis looks awesome.... But why do documentaries still have to look like shit, visually. enough technology has come out to the point that i find it actually depressing that people haven't taken more effort to produce visually interesting, "talking heads" style docs. The footage looks like crap and there's just no reason for it. Although, I'm painfully aware that this has virutually nothing to do with what this film is all about. Its just a pet peeve of mine. _______________________________________________________________________________ organic body care | seattle dui lawyers | everquest 2 account
