I wanted to see if anyone had heard about this...I read about it on some other boards--I guess it's a movie about a wheelchair rugby team and the trailer made it seem pretty interesting. I was just curious if anyone had the inside scoop!

Thanks! Smiler

If you have HBO there was a piece on it for Real Sports tv show.

Kind of interesting...but not really.

Oh man, Imprezu! Thanks for the heads up! I know Coming Soon had some stuff on their site and there are some articles floating around in Maxim or somewhere, but I'm real excited to see this one... now I just have to find out where it's playing!

The guys that mades this were on Charlie Rose last night, along with one of the quad rugby players. Looks like a great documentary.

This thing is huge.I see previews for it and special news spots for it on mtv and both vh1.I have no doubt that it will be more popular than it is good.It looks interesting but, not great.

Did you happen to see how highly it's rated on Rotten Tomatoes, Imprezu? I think it's like 94% fresh or something...which no doubt means it's popular, but I am also hearing from pre-screenings and stuff that it's also really good.

Fingers crossed!

agreed...i can barely hold my excitement in.

It does look interesting though.
It just seems as almost every clip i see is one of the guys talking abouthow he can still have sex???If thats the best clip they can find then...lets just hope that isnt!

It looks like it is only in select theatres...and not in seattle??That sucks, i will just have to wait i guess.

Well, from listening to the interview with these guys, one of the goals of the documentary was to change how people think of parapalegics and quadrapalegics. As one of the directors said, they're not all these pitiful people...they're great atheletes, they party hard, and they have hot girlfriends. I'm glad they're putting stuff like that in the movie, otherwise it would be you're standard sappy "woe is me, i'm handicapped" story, which is something they were consciously trying to avoid.

I think that's why the story is so fascinating...these guys are living real lives, being hardcore, competing and training out there like the rest of us. They are a compelling bunch and I hope a lot of people see the movie to help change those perceptions of people in wheelchairs.

I dont find that fascinating. If you are normal and then have an accident and become somewhat paralyzed, why would you not try to be as normal as you can afterwards.

It does not seem unique to me.It looks like another documentary that will probabbly be popular.Just not that important.

Dont get me wrong i will be there when it comes to my town.I just could care less if these guys can still "score" with chicks.I am mor einterested in the game, and the rivalry with canada and america with candad having the "star" american coach.

Well I am sure they show a lot of that too...From what I've read, it focuses a lot on relationships and the competition...They follow the Canadian coach and call him a traitor and showcase his will to win...I think it will have what you're looking for Imprezu and I'll be interested to see what you think when you come back from it...

As for me, I get to see it tomorrow.

cleveland gets it and seattle doesnt??
that is strange, you would think seattle would be on the top 1/4 of the list.

Anyways, i am sure it will be here soon!

I saw this Monday and thought it was pretty damn good. Uplifting and touching and exciting all at once. And funny! I really liked the American players, the box joke was hilarious. And the way they parallelled the newly injured Keith's story alongside everyone else's was really poignant. Good good flick.

Check this about another doc:
