I just saw Sunshine, so you can guess that I came here looking for a thread where I could say, "Man, this film was better than I was lead to believe." So, yeah, I agree with the folks above who say it was so underrated. It's sort of like Alien meets Solaris meets 2001. I can't really talk about how much I liked it, without giving stuff away, but between the writing, acting, and visuals, I think it was very well done.

I had the opposite reaction after I saw this movie, not in terms of Over-Rated, but in terms of a film that didn't live up to its trailer expectations and therefore I was disappointed. It's interesting that you went into this movie with lowered expectations while I went into this movie with elevated expectations. This movie does look gorgeous, one of the most beautiful, lavishly looking movies of 2007 - great visuals. Unfortunately, for me, the movie breaks down after awhile when all the visuals begin to get weighed down by the script that for me doesn't quite stand up to how great looking this movie is. This is a movie where image triumphs over content. I went into this movie expecting more - a "2001: A Space Odyssey" experience.

Now don't crucify me for this one but what about Wrestle Maniac. Its a slasher film that is way over the top. The story line is about a ex Mexican Wrestler who kills porn stars in a ghost town. The movie is quite entertaining though. I enjoyed the whole thing. It was a little gorey, but the craziest is slashers kill tactics. He rips off their faces with his bare hands like they are masks
