Easily so far There Will Be Blood is my favorite movie of 2008. Just a beautifully directed film by Paul T. Anderson (Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Punch,Drunk,Love) and one of the finest performances you will ever see in film by Daniel Day Lewis. Check this movie out if you have a brain.

Last Movie Seen: There Will Be Blood 9/10
Now Playing: COD4

Sorry to burst our bubble but There Will Be Blood was released as 2007 movie and is being considered for the Academy Awards' best picture to be announced in March which required that all movies up for consideration have been released in major cities last year.

I loved There Will Be Blood, a shame it wasn't picked as best picture but a fantastic film.

This is one of the few movies that had many of technical flaws but at the same time its story and acting performances so captivated me that, I personally, felt overall that it was a great movie. However, as for being Best Picture, its flaws were sufficient to detract it from a Best Picture win, though I didn't agree that NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN (that actually won Oscar's Best Picture) was as good as THERE WILL BE BLOOD.

I really like the touch of yellow for the last period.

Very limited release. It was never shown in Utah. How does GOMORRA compare to THE GODFATHER series and has the crime world really changed so much in comparison?

it is very solid film, that isnt character driven, although there is a narrative structure. the director doesn't make the mob-scene very glamorous and is playing with demystifying the genre of mobster movies.

something completely different in terms of mob movies we are used to.
