As we've done before, I think that those who vote should be allowed to put live records and 2006 releases of previously import-only records (eg Art Brut, Hard-Fi) on their lists. I think compilations of all previously-released material should not be included, but if there were new songs on the comp, I suppose someone could fudge on that. The goal is supposed to be a list of 2006 RELEASES, not records you discovered in 2006. If there isn't a legitimate 2006 date on a record, it shouldn't be on THIS list. If someone wants to start a 'records I listened to most in 2006' list or a 'non 2006 records I discovered in 2006' list, that's fine. At the end of the day, be honest. If you put an import on your 2005 list, don't put it on your 2006 list.

I agree with methodology #2. And now I need to get my post count up!

I agree with everything pE said. If you put something on a 2005 list, don't put it on your 2006 one. I would go a bit further and say that any compilation needs to have at least half new songs.

Better hit the "What are you listening to?" and "Song tag" threads!

I agree with the method as ammended by Mark F, to avoid repeating a score value for numbers 19 and 20. Good work mark!!
