There are some pretty punch-filled movies ou there, but which have the most action? I'll say......

Godzilla: Final Wars
Honestly, this movie has so much action that it's crazy! Godzilla fights almost 70% of his enemies in this film, not to mention all of the insane human fights. There are around 12 to 15 fights on average in this movie.

Crazy action everywhere. Honestly. At least one hour of the movie is pure violece.

While the movie was poor, there was a ton of action. Pretty much the entire movie was one big string of fights.

Eyebrows always lifting, fingers pointing constantly, hands...fully sick action...I was exhausted by the end.

"Grindhouse"-If you love action & chicks with a gun for a right leg, this movie is for you! In "Planet Terror", you have lots of shooting. In "Death Proof, you have a magnificent car wreck & chase!

"The Chase" (1994)-The entire movie is a car chase!

"Commando-THE Schwarzenegger action flick!

"The Big Hit"-Sure, the story is hokey , but this movie does have some great action !

Kill Bill" Volume 1-This movie was the more exciting of the two. Any movie that kicks off with Uma Thurman taking a bullet to the head & Vivica A. Fox catching a fist to the face belongs on this list!

"Desperado"-Gun fights galore & Danny Trejo with a vest of knives! Didja guys see the reference for this character in the "Machete" trailer in "Grindhouse"? The scene where he jumped on the limo & started throwing knives through the sunroof was an exact copy of what he did in this very movie !

"300"-Of course this movie is on the list! Just try to find better battle scenes in any other movie! I can't think of any where they fought a giant & took down a rhino. Not to mention the number of bodies piled up in the making of a wall!

Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom spring to mind.

OOOOOOOH! I can't believe I didn't remember those! I went as far back as 1985 with "Commando", but I guess 1981 & 1984 were just a tad too far !

Its energy was amazing. Sigorney rocked. Paced magically and edited wonderfully. Every character had
some personality that was perfectly realized regardless of how little their screen time was.

While the original Alien (1979) was for me personally much more significant as film for science fiction in terms of horror and drama and direction, I only thought of Aliens (1986) in passing. But your comment made me recollect how impressed I was and satisfied I was after watching Aliens in terms of the build up and action. As an adventure, action, horror film it really did explode off the screen with tremendous pacing, timing, and exhiliarting energy.

Great action flicks, eh?

Apocalypto ranks really high on my list of good movies, interestingly though as for "Most Action-Packed" movies, I'm undecided. I'm uncertain because strangely enough on how good it is. The acting, the personal relational themes, the cinematography as well as the photography are so good that they distract from the Action-Packed components of the movie (which isn't a bad thing for me). This movie is more comprehensive, is more appreciated holistically than framing simply in terms of action. Instead of mindless summer action entertainment, this movie transported me into a personal thrilling experience that included more than just action and its brilliance isn't just the action found in the movie itself. So I'm uncertain how to answer this question in such black and white terms.

You missed out on The Passion and Apocalypto, two films which follow up on Mel's themes of sacrifice in the face of violence. Braveheart was the best of 'em, so there's no reason, apparently, for you to catch up. Remind me (or link to) what your fave films are, so we can agree for a change.

What sets Apocalyto apart from Braveheart is what sets the former movie as outshining the latter movie. Instead of action and epic war adventure, Apocalyto uses war as a backdrop to the important element of singular survival and relational devotion on a much more primal and basic scale. The focus and attention is much more narrow and so that consistent impact of the experience is much more personal.

Erm ... I'm not really interested in agreeing. I stand for what I stand for, and I don't look to others for agreement. Besides, I've posted some of my favorite action films above.

I've just never understood some folks desire -- mods, mostly -- to crap on other people's opinions simply for not liking a film. I've taken flack (in other forums) for not venturing into any of the HARRY POTTER films after the first (which I thought was a turd, too), but no amount of veiled insult is going to make me "rediscover" the POTTER magic that wasn't there to begin with.

In the end, it's all a matter of personal taste, not consensus.

Please quote the parts above in my post where I crapped on your opinions or gave you flak (or not).

Also, remember that since you posted, you are having a dialogue. Are we supposed to just ignore your posts? I honestly don't get where you're coming from. You are welcome here, but we are not your enemies, no matter what any other bozos did.

Sorry, but "you snooze, you lose" is hardly what I'd call "a dialogue." It's crap. "Really? You didn't like BRAVEHEART? What did you feel it missed?" is a dialogue. It's encouraging discussion. "You snooze, you lose" is an ad hominem on par -- in my book -- with "yeah, well, your tastes don't matter."

as I recall "Death Race 2000" had some curious action and violence. What a strange movie.
