I remember a couple people mentioning the movie, but can't remember where. I hope I am not recreating an existing thread...today I watched "Ocean's 12" and thought that, although it wasn't quite as good as the first, it was still nice seeing so many quality actors in one movie, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, a Bruce Willis cameo. As far as everybody complaining that it didn't feature enough about the actual heists, I think that it should have put a little more in that area but it doesn't appear that is what it is aiming for. By no means is this a "Great" movie, but it is, however, entertaining.
My score: 55/100

Yeah this one looked fun but I have a feeling that Steven Soderbergh is losing touch with his indie roots, maybe it's just me...what do you guys think??
Mike, your score is the same as that of Metacritic's. I would give it more of a 50/100. The movie was moderate, but it didnt live up to what it wanted to be. I was bored for many parts of the movie and the last third was the only really good part. I think that it was a waste of money, considering the huge sum on it, and a waste of the cast. It has one of the largest casts I have ever seen but the movie doesnt agree with them. I guess I would recommend it but only if you like the cast and really liked Ocean's Eleven. It is not as good as the first though.

Yeah E.M., I wasn't sure if I wanted to give it a 60 or a 50 so I just found somewhere in the middle, I guess this is one of the few times that I actually agree with the critics (If you don't recall I gave Blade 3 a 70 regardless of the fact that the critics gave it a 36). And to respond to a couple of your comments, yes, they could have done much better given the cast at hand and yes, it wasn't quite as good as the first. It is more of a throwback to the original rather than an entirely different movie. I left satisfied regardless of the fact that my pants were 6$ lighter.

I loved both the original (Ratpack) version and the remake, but I found Ocean's Twelve to be a little forced. It was good, but it wasn't nearly as good as the first (remade) version.
I found the capers to be a little dull and the focus on some of the actors (Damon, Zeta-Jones) to be at the expense of some of the others (why was Bernie Mac used so sparingly? He was HI-LARIOUS in the first one!) But it was funny, maybe even funnier that the first, at the expense of a better plot.
There was enough there for me to say it was a good, but not a great movie. What is impressive, however, was that it wasn't even a script earmarked for an "Ocean's" sequel...it was only adapted after being written as a stand alone film.

I don't understand why everybody hates this movie. I thought the plot was well played, sure it was kind of easy to figure it out, but i had that sense that i wasn't quite sure until the very end. I loved the different type of music, different from all the other movies nowadays. And the Lazer scene, the only part where the guy actually looked like a human and acted like one, it gave u a different understanding of him.
