India had me for a few weeks, but they don't care much for comics, or movies without shrilling sari clad forms, so I'm back in el Chine.

I'm getting pretty excited about Tony Stark etc.
Any other good rumours? Like a Green Arrow movie? I dream...

Well, let's see what I can find, Ish-man. *NEWSPAPER RUSTLING* Oh, lookee here! David Goyer is set to write the script, but he won't be getting to it until after "Magneto" which is due in theaters next year. It'll be called "Supermax". Supermax? Confused What the crap does that haveta do with Green Arrow? Confused No, I'm really asking! I've never read the comics. I was more into Marvel than DC. Their art just ain't all that great. At least in the comics I've read it wasn't. Gotta have pretty pictures with my reading, ya know. If you can't wait for the G.A. movie, you can catch his occasional appearances on WB's 'Smallville'.

In other "news", Anthony Michael Hall may be playing Deathstroke in "The Dark Knight"! If you're into 'toons, you are probably already familiar with him: He's the main villain in 'Teen Titans'. However, if you remember, I also found somewhere that he was to play Edward Nygma aka The Riddler. I guess we'll just haveta wait and see. It's only a few months away!

Supermax?? me confused too!! Long time since I actually read a G.A comic...

and Anthony Michael Hall is still getting work?? Wow! Good for him. I thought he had retired to raise chihuahuas or tulips or some such, ha ha.

you're a top grade researcher Mr. Monkificent! Big Grin

Hey, Ish-man, what's up with this? Is Austrailia really trying to knock itself back into obscurity with America? What do you think about it? Especially now that Batman and Superman ARE going to be apart of the projecy afterall! According to IESB it was all "total bullsh*t" and they were ALWAYS going to be in the movie. The question is: Who is going to play them? I don't believe Bale and Routh are being considered for the roles.

Here's the new IRON MAN TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (It's the one labeled Trailer #2) GOOD-FREAKIN'-GRAVY! Eeker Did you see that? DID YOU SEE THAT?! They had Iron Man catch a friggin' car! A CAR! Did you see 2 MEN IN SUITS OF ROBOTIC ARMOR BEATING THE SNOT OUTTA EACH OTHER?! Did you see how he blew up that fragging tank?! What about the way he "suits up"? Man! This movie looks action-packed and it very well better be! If this turns out to be an "Elektra" or, even worse, a *gulp* "Supergirl"... I'm probably going to the next comic-based movie that comes out. The Dark Knight" just CAN'T disappoint! IT JUST CAN'T!

Looks like I was wrong, though. The silver armor isn't War Machine, it's the prototype suit before the red & gold. The movie seems like it's going to have alotta dry humor, which makes me very happy! I was laughing through the trailer! At the same time, my jaw dropped to the floor everytime I saw one of the scenes I mentioned above! (I watched it more than a coupla times. Red Face) If anything else, "Iron Man" at least looks like some tasty eye candy!Big Grin

Since I've mentioned "The Dark Knight":
With the death of Heath Ledger, the whole "Joker Ad Campaign" was thrown out and now they're pushing Harvey Dent. He is the centerpiece of the movie, afterall. Upon placing your email address and (optional) telephone number in the spaces provided you get an email from "Gotham United Against Crime" stating that you're now a member and to "get ready"! You'll later receive all sorts of updates and such! It's just that easy!

I've just discovered that Djimon Hounsou ("Blood Diamond") has said that he will be working on a comic book trilogy. He hasn't said what hero he would portray, which leads some to speculate that this could be "Black Panther". Wesley Snipes was originally going to wear the crown of T'Challa after he was through with the "Blade" trilogy, but his legal troubles have put a stop to that. (Wesley, Wesley, Wesley. Not paying your taxes when we've got all these tax breaks for the rich? Tsk, tsk, tsk.)

Okay, guys, I have pics of what the Watchmen are gonna look like. Do you wanna see 'em? Click "Pleeeeease!" Big Grin Not too shabby. I can't wait to see how they hold up in action on the big screen!

How would you like to check out the New "Wanted" Trailer in HD? I didn't think I had to ask, but you never know. Someone coulda said "No"... even if that meant missing over 2 minutes of AWESOMENESS! Eeker I am sooooo going to get my brother to stand in a parking lot so I can swerve and scoop him up with my car! Then, I'm gonna kick out my flippin' windsheild and start shooting unsuspecting motorists (I doubt I'll be able to find proper assassination targets) while dodging a bus! Then I'm gonna curve a bullet around my brother's head! THEN I'm gonna flip my car over a police barricade and drive away like it was nuthin'! (I'd do that one last because I don't even think I could survive some crazy crap like that... but it'd be a whooooole lotta fun tryin'! Big Grin) Oooooor maybe I'll just go see the movie when it opens on June 27th.

Here's an interview with Aaron Eckhart on his role in "The Dark Knight". Oh, yes! We WILL se Two-Face in the movie! Big Grin

Yeaaah, we in the Great Southern Land are often scratching our collective heads over the film industry and it's relationship with the gov'ment!!

Hopefully, things will work out. Shot in the footsie, indeed!!

I was lookin' to see what new Blu-rays are hittin' shelves tomorrow and I stumbled upon something GREAT: Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth!!!! Not too bad at all! Check out those muttonchops! Check out the fingernails on his right hand! I like this look a WHOLE lot better than the cat-man look they had for Tyler Mane. Not to say they aren't going in that direction. They might have that be the result of the Weapon X Project. This is a prequel, afterall. It doesn't mention if this was taken on or off set (I'm gonna guess "off" since there seems to be a nobody with a water bottle behind him), but he definetly has the cocky look ol' Victor would have when confronting Logan! Smiler

The article goes on to mention that we'll have The Blob and a hobbit making appearances as well!

I told you I'd post it! Big Grin It looks plenty action packed, but I don't know... does the Hulk look too skinny to anybody else? I paused the vid at 1:42 and he just doesn't look... right. I can tell ya now, I don't really like the look of the Abomination, but what are ya gonna do? At least we're guaranteed a fight between monsters! Cool

I guess my sources were wrong. He's not gray at all!

Have any of you heard of "Hancock"? It's not really a "comic-based" movie, but it is a superhero one and it stars Will Smith! It looks absolutely AWESOME and HILARIOUS! Did you see how much damage he does just taking off? What about when he's "stopping the bad guys"? What about when he stopped a train?! What about when he tosses a beached whale back into the sea?! GOOD GRAVY! Big Grin This movie looks as cold as ice! Big Grin

Lol. Hancock looks pretty funny. It seems like every time he's saving someone he's hindering someone else, I like that.

I'm just wondering why it's taken this long for someone to come up with a "hero" like this. It seems he's been either doing this for so long he just doesn't care how the job gets done, just as long as it gets done OR he's very new at this whole "superhero thang"! Big Grin Have you slowed the trailer down any? At the point when it starts with the quick cuts, I slowed it down, and it seems Charlize Theron might be the villainess?! There is one shot of her looking all innocent, like she was seeing Hancock's power for the first time. But then there is another shot of her looking rather sinister putting on dark sunglasses with Hancock behind her. I could be reading her expression wrong, but you GOTTA have a supervillain in these kinda movies (they even had one in "My Super Ex-Girlfriend") and I think she'd make a great one! Just check her out at her most cold (and sexy) in "2 Days in the Valley".

In other superhero movie news:
They've finally posted pics from "The Incredible Hulk" trailer. I have the third one down as my wallpaper on my PS3! I think he looks kinda weird in the one right above it. Maybe it's the hump in his back. From the looks of things, they're definetly leaning more towards the old television show. Especially in the shot where you see Banner's eyes turn green.

I've read in another forum that some folks didn't like that the Hulk was so big in the first movie. They found it ridiculous. Roll Eyes Apparently they've never read a figgin' Hulk comic! The angrier he gets, the BIGGER AND STRONGER he gets! That's what I love about him! That's also why I, and EVERY ONE of my fanboy friends, were pissed that they had Superman beat him in DC vs Marvel. Superman couldn't defeat the Hulk! He was beaten by a Hulk knock-off! How is it he could beat the real thing? Confused Apparently, the Hulk will not grow any bigger than what he is in the trailer against the Abomination. Which sucks monkey butt! These same people also said his jumping from place to place was also stupid. Once again, they know nothing! In fact they're pissed he's still a CG character, THEY'D RATHER HE BE A GUY PAINTED GREEN! I dunno anymore, guys. I don't think this really is gonna be a TRUE HULK MOVIE if they take away some of his abilities. They're what make him UNSTOPPABLE!

It seems the rumors of a "Hulk vs Iron Man" movie are becoming REALITY! Robert Downey Jr. had an interview with MTV Movie Blogs and mentioned his own appearance in "The Incredible Hulk". It seems Iron Man and General Ross are going to team up to put an end to all of this Hulk business! ehlwvfyh hjfeyahkrnsb ovekvf ev Whoa. Sorry 'bout that. I just felt a tingle crawl up my spine! Big Grin

Didja ever wonder what the Peanuts Gang would look like as The Watchmen? Well, wonder no more! Big Grin

Check out this slideshow of 14 "Iron Man" pics!

Here we have a poll on what YOU think of the movie-look of the Abomination. Cast your vote now! I said it was "acceptable", but I haveta admit, he's not what I expected.

Chris Evans (The Human Torch in "FF") recently told MTV Movies Blog that there probably won't be a third "Fantastic Four". He said that after the first movie, there were immediate talks of a sequel. After this one, not so much. (Probably because of the awful way they handled one of the greatest comic storylines ever told. It's not like it was the first time, though. "X-Men" completely screwed up the Phoenix Saga... among other things. Roll Eyes) So, I suppose we won't be getting the birth of Franklin (Reed & Sue's powerful mutant baby boy) on the big screen afterall.

Finally, "Madman" is almost ready for filming! A few "notes have been addressed" and they now have a much stronger screenplay. They're only waiting on final approvals. Hopefully it won't take too long!

That's all the news I feel like digging up for now, catch you on the flipside, dudes! Cool

Tell me about it. Roll Eyes I'm surprised I was able to contain my disgust in those few sentences. I'm certain you've read my rants earlier in this thread. Wink

A few things from "The Dark Knight" Viral Campaign on the world wide web to take a gander at:
Check out a defaced front page of The Gotham Times!
A political ad against Harvey Dent for D.A. provided by Concerned Citizens For A Better Gotham. The CCFABG are being led by Joseph Candoloro.
Over here, we have the Clown Travel Agency. Click on the letter that's sticking out of the envelope marked "Departure Date 4-01" and follow the instructions. You're gonna have to give 'em your phone number because in the end... YOU'LL HAVE TO ANSWER YOUR PHONE! Eeker If you have Caller ID, it'll read 000-000-0000. That's what it read on mine, anyway. I didn't answer it the first time because I NEVER answer numbers I ain't familiar with (saves me the hassle of talking to a telemarketer) and a message came up on the screen saying that they couldn't get ahold of me. I got it after I re-entered my info and the phone started ringing again with the same number. I've just never had a website call my house before! That was flippin' cool! I won't give away who calls you. Wink

Okay. You guys have GOTTA look at these FAST! New pics from "The Dark Knight"! I type "fast" because another site was already asked to remove them by Warner Bros. THESE ARE UNAUTHORIZED! WHO KNOWS HOW LONG THEY'LL BE UP?! Eeker

Pics from "Hellboy II: The Golden Army"

I've had a very busy week, so I didn't get to be apart of reporting all of the fake news they came up with in honor of April Fools Day. So, here's a look at most of the goofiness that ensued over here. It's a good thing I hadn't read these before I knew they were fake, I woulda been too excited to "learn" Wolvie was gona be in "The Incredible Hulk"! He did make his first appearence fighting the big green goliath! The one about Spielberg remaking "Duel" & "Jaws" was a good one! Reminds me of that one episode of 'Robot Chicken' when they had him doing a "Jaws: Special Edition" where the shark blows up like the Death Star! Big Grin
