I know I'm missing a couple of "Batman" films but, I will NEVER own "Batman Forever" or "Batman & Robin". Tim Burton did a MUCH better job than that Joel 'Sh*tmocker' guy! However, I was just curious if there are others out there that I didn't realize were based on comics. For instance, I just found out "Swamp Thing" was a comic BEFORE it was a movie. I always thought the movie came out first until I did a little research just to find out. The rule is: IT HAD TO BE A COMIC FIRST. "Darkman" had a comic for a time but, that was AFTER the movie & while I do own it, it's not a REAL comic-based movie.

Also, I'll keep you all updated on what's happening in the comic-based movie world such as:
Robert Downey Jr. will be playing "Iron Man" in the upcoming '08 movie. I was a little disappointed at first & then I figured, who could be better to play a character that suffers from substance abuse than an actor who suffered from it?
By the way, who's ready for "Ghost Rider"? I'm not a fan of the comic but, I will be seeing the movie! The few effects I saw in the teaser trailer were AWESOME! Also, "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer" looks like it'll knock the first out of our minds, if they only include Galactus. He wasn't in the trailer I saw & I don't see a good reason to have the Silver Surfer appear with out his original master.
"Spider-Man 3" looks like it's going to ROCK! It seems they'll be going by the cartoon origin for Venom instead of the original comic origin.(Which is a little complicated to place in a movie since the costume was made on another planet specifically for Spider-Man because his costume was destroyed in the 'Secret Wars' storyline.) I'm also excited to see Sandman, as well. I'm still wondering if they're going to take Harry Os & make him the Green Goblin for a possible third villian.
There are talks that a new "Punisher" movie is in the works with Jigsaw being the villain. For those unfamiliar with the story: Jigsaw was a handsome criminal that Frank Castle threw through a plate glass window, cutting his face up something fierce. I mean, disfigured like the dude in "Hannible" who cut up his own face! So, now Jigsaw has a personal vendetta against The Punisher.
Rumor also has it that there is a "Wolverine" movie in the works! Hopefully, they give him a fantastic Supervillian such as: Cyber, an insane monster of a man with an adamantium layer over his skin, the only person Wolverine is afraid of! Or, Sabretooth, but, only if they make him the sh*t talking S.O.B. he is in the comics & not the silent type from the movie. Or maybe Pierce, a human who cybernetically enhanced his body & is quite a foe! He also made Lady Deathstrike the way she was. (She was never a mutant by the way! I hate that they screwed that up in the movie, too. Then they killed her! She was to GREAT of a villianess to just kill off!)
Finally, Marvel has put together their own studio & it's been rumored they're putting together a NEW "Hulk" movie as their first solo project. They weren't happy with Ang Lee's version, so, this one will be completley seperate from that one. That should make SOME people happy to see the Hulk again!

There is also a "Watchmen" movie in the works directed by Zack Snyder("Dawn of the Dead" '05 director)& there have ben rumors of "Shi" coming to theaters. The villian in the next "Batman" movie has been chosen: The Joker! I don't know how well Heath Ledger is gonna beat Jack Nicholson's Joker but, here's hoping he does a great job with the insane criminal! "30 Days of Night" has gone into production. And finally, "The Fountain", which is an iffy in the 'comic before it was a movie' department. They started writing the comic before they started the movie but, they are BOTH based on the same screenplay. I'll update this FORUM as I get more information! See ya in the funny pages!

Hello, again. I was just thinking how the comic based-movie genre has come along way since "Superman" & "Batman". Nowadays, it seems they are getting more respect than they once did. There have been a few horrible liberties taken by a couple directors such as:
"Batman"(1989)-Batman killing the Joker
"Spawn"-Spawn's PG-13 rating, (mostly)missing cape, & his not wearing his mask as much as he should
"Fantastic Four"-Dr. Doom gets super powers(he's a flippin' sorcerer! He mixes science & magic!)
"Daredevil"-The absence of his mentor, Stick, who taught Matt everything he knew
"X-Men 1-3"-Rogue being a child, Sabretooth & Wolverine not knowing each other, Lady Deathstrike being made into a mutant(she's a cybernetically enhanced human!)with no connection to Wolverine(They were once lovers!), Juggernaut also being made into a mutant(He gets his power from a magical gem!), the untold number of 'made up' mutants in "X3" when there are SOOO many to choose from in the comics
And so forth...

But, "Sin City" was almost DEAD ON to the comic. They actually used dialogue & scenes from the comic! The only other place I'd EVER seen that happen was in "The Maxx" cartoon that came on Mtv(You could actually pull out your "Maxx" comics & read along with the show!). "The Mask" was another close comic adaption. Granted, it wasn't as violent as the comic but, they used alot of the material from the comic(the 'balloon show for the thugs' scene was exactly from the comics, except he killed them all with the tommy gun!). In "The Punisher" they kept his origin in tact, however, not having read the NEW comics, I'm not sure if they actually killed off his ENTIRE family tree(originally, it was just his immediate family at a park in the middle of a gang war). "Spiderman" stayed VERY true to its origin & even the death of the Green Goblin was right out of its pages(however, Dr. Octopus was never killed)."Hellboy" pretty much leaped right off the page with only a few minor changes.(Oh, yeah! I forgot to tell ya, a new "Hellboy" is in the works as well!) In "Batman Begins" they actually did something unheard of, they told you where he disappeared to all those years & they did a great job doing it!

I am very pleased that they stopped killing the villians as of late. In "X-Men" I so thought they were going to kill off Magneto & Mystique. I was very surprised when they didn't(however, they did kill Lady Deathstrike)! In"Batman Begins" they left Scarecrow alive & as for Ra's Al Ghul, well in the comic, he's immortal. He's "died" lots of times, he could still be alive. Even "Daredevil" & "Fantastic Four" left everone alive!

Yes, the comic fans have spoken & we have been heard! We can only hope the future holds MANY more faithful adaptions. They seem to only be getting better over time. It would be fantastic if everyone took a cue from Robert Rodriguez & Mr. Del Torro & actually worked WITH the creators so as to stay as close to the original vision as possible! I can't wait to see what Marvel comes out with now that they have their own production company! To make things grand, we just need a "Spawn" remake to be as R-rated as the cartoon!

I've just stumbled onto amazing news! In the news on "Iron Man", Jon Favreau is to direct & get this! Terrence Howard will be Jim Rhodes, aka WAR MACHINE!!!! Oh, please let them do the War Machine armour! The Mandarin has been named as the villain. This oughta be good! A release date has already been set: May 2nd, 2008

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" returns but, this time in CGI. It's supposed to be darker than the live action movies but, alas, no Shredder.

"30 Days of Night" will be directed by David Slade & will star Josh Hartnett in the role of Sheriff Eben. It's set to hit theaters: October 19, 2007

"Sin City 2" is slated to hit theaters next year, with nearly everyone returning. Including some who died in the first! Angelina Jolie has been rumored to play Ava Lord, a love of Dwight McCarthy(Clive Owen).

The official title for the second Hellboy is in: "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army Sadly, no John Myers.

The second Hulk movie is slated to come out June 27th, 2008. It seems he may be the Grey Hulk. For those unfamiliar with this: Bruce Banner managed to make himself into a "smarter" Hulk, who was weaker than when he was green(but, not by alot!)but, kept his "Bruce Banner" mind. If they go by the comic, he can't change back into "Puny Banner", so that would mean an ENTIRE movie with the HULK! It's villains have been rumored as being either The Leader or The Abomination! Oh, please let it be The Abomination!!!!!

"Shazam" is also currently in the works, with rumors of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the title role.

Are there any 'Darkness' fans out there? Well, than you guys would know of The Magdalena, the Vatican's Holy Warrior Women! There is currently a script being written at this very moment. No mention if Jackie Estacado will be making an appearance.

For the new "Watchmen" movie, it is rumored that it will star John Cusack(as Nite-Owl), Sigourney Weaver(as the Silk Spectre), & Daniel Craig(as Rorschach). Don't hold me to it, though. These are ONLY rumors! But, what if it's true?!!

As far as POSSIBLE upcoming projects there are talks of "Antman", "Captain America", "Thor", "Deathlok", "Black Widow", "Avengers", & "Swamp Thing"! Wesley Snipes had bought the rights to "Black Panther" & planned on doing it after "Blade Trinity" was wrapped. However, now that he is running from the law for tax fraud, it might never see the light of day!

I'll keep you posted on ANYTHING NEW! See ya in the funny pages!

Why, thank you, Mike.(Actually, it's matched ONLY by my Movie Knowledge! Wink) As for you other fans: It has been confirmed! GALACTUS will be in the second Fantastic Four movie! Oh, I was soooo hoping they weren't going to screw it up & have a lone Silver Surfer story! For those who aren't in the know: Silver Surfer was once an alien on a world that Galactus visited. By "visited", I mean, he showed up to eat it! The Silver Surfer, who at the time was just a "regular guy", pleaded with Galactus to spare his world. In return, he would seve as Galactus' Herald. One who finds suitable planets for the "God" to fill himself on. Galactus accepts his offer & bestows upon him 'The Power Cosmic', a sort of SUPER POWER that grants its bearer super strength & super human abilities(like, fly through space on a surf board.) For years the Surfer served Galactus, taking him from one planet to another to feast on their energies. Then they come to Earth.... I won't give away what happens, just in case the movie follows the comics. I doubt it will, though. After I've seen it, I'll let ya know if it was even close without giving away TOO much that it'll ruin it for you guys! I'll NEVER spoil an ending for anyone 'cuz I hate when others spoil it for me! I'll let you know any further comic movie related news as I get it! Until then, see ya in the funny pages!

In an interview Stan Lee(Marvel's Founder)has stated that Marvel Comics has 22 comic movies in the works. 22!!!! He also made mention of his many upcoming cameos in each of them. Stan isn't the first comic creator to do this though. Todd McFarlane made a cameo appearance in "Spawn". Many people think he was the little boy's dad but, he was actually the 'bum' that Spawn pulled a gun on when he first fought the Violator. I believe that was the first time a creator made a cameo in a movie based on his character. Please correct me if I am wrong. PLEASE!!!!

As for the upcoming projects, I truly hope for a 'Rising Stars' movie. 'Rising Stars' was written by "Babylon 5" creator, J. Michael Straczynski. It's about 113 super powered people who all gained their powers when a meteor flashed near their town at the exact moment of their conception. When a few children started to show signs of super-strength or flight the government stepped in. They grew up under strict government supervision & when they became adults, they were allowed to leave but, had to continue their contact with the government. Most of them just wanted to live normal lives but, there were others who became superheroes & supervillians.

The most interesting thing about the writing in this comic that sets it apart from the rest is the questions it asks. An invincible Super is killed & the tagline at the beginning of the story is, "How do you kill an invincible man?" The answer was astonishing! One by one the Supers are being killed off & with each death, the remaining Supers become stronger. One of their own begins to investigate what is going on & just when you think it's been figured out, the best twist happens in the middle of the series!

These are the ingrediants of a fantastic movie, & the whole story couldn't fit into one movie. It would HAVE to be a trilogy, of sorts, so they could take their time telling the story & not be forced to cut corners in the storytelling. The budget would have to be as big as it was for "The Lord of the Rings" for the simple fact that there are fights & battles in this series that MUST be beautiful. There is a moment in the comic when all remaining Supers fight against the army & as the soldiers kill them off the rest become even more powerful until the army is defeated & the last of the Supers basically take over the world. A group of them actually overrun Chicago, making everone who live there prisoners.

If you haven't read this story, I suggest you do. Then tell me this movie wouldn't ROCK! I did hear something about them making a movie based on this series but, the rumors soon died & I never heard anymore about it. What "Dream Projects" are you guys hoping for?

Hey, there Fanboys & girls! They are currently casting Harvey Dent in the 6th Batman film which will be called "The Dark Knight". So far the actor choices are Eion Bailey, Edward Norton, & Jaimie Foxx. A former Batman candidate, an Oscar nominated actor, & an Oscar winner, respectively. This means that the villian in the next Batman will be Two-Face! Here's hoping they make him more like the Two-Face from the comics & cartoon, not like Tommy Lee Jones in that crappy 'Joel Version'. It's kinda strange that they are choosing villians who have already been done even if they were done very sh*tty. Batman has a very extensive rogues gallery to choose from & I, for one, would love to see Killer Croc!

As for other comic villians in the movies: They just released the toy images of Venom for "Spider-Man 3". It seems he'll have the same webbing detail in his costume as Spider-Man but, he still has the big mouth & sharp teeth that make him Venom! I can't believe they're putting Venom in the movie. This is so wonderful I could plotz!

It looks like they are considering putting together a Magneto movie after they are finished with "Wolverine". It, like "Wolverine", will be a prequel telling how Erik met Charles & what happened when their views on mutants, & their place in the world, started to differ. Since it will be taking place in the past, more than likely, they'll be casting younger actors than Ian McKellum & Patrick Stewart.

For those not in the know on "Wolverine", yes, it will be an origin story. I'm guessing it will be about his Weapon X days, which is a fantastic story. Marvel figured that the movies would try to tell Wolverine's origin & try to give Wolverine a past more extensive than his comic counterpart. So, they finally told us where Logan came from & when he first "popped" his claws.

The story was called 'Origin' & was the best story I've ever read. You learn why he has a thing for red-heads, why his memory is so screwed up, his real name, & why he's called 'Logan'. No, 'Logan' is NOT his real name! I suggest you checkout the book with all the comics in one from a bookstore near you! It is THE story to read if you are a major Wolverine fan!

In other news, DC's 'Doom Patrol' is in the works with a screenplay already done by Adam Turner. Some say they are a rip-off of the X-Men & others say it's the other way around. The Doom Patrol is made up of Robot-Man, Elasti-Girl, Negative Man, & the Chief, their wheelchair-bound leader. They made an appearance in the cartoon 'Teen Titans' but, led by Mento instead of the Chief. There is also talk of the group getting its own cartoon series!

Well, that's all for now! See ya in the funny pages!

Back with another dose of comic movie news! Frank Miller's "300" will be in theaters March 9th! Not your typical comic book/superhero story, it takes place during the Persian-Greco war, when the Spartan King Leonidas led his army of 300 soldiers into battle against the Persian army. Directed by Zach Snyder & starring Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Dominic West, Vincent Regan, & Rodrigo Santoro.

Dimension Films has picked up the rights to make 'Madman' into a live action film. Originally, it was to be directed by Robert Rodriguez, but, he will now produce & the director will be George Hueng. The movie will still be shot entirely at Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Texas. It's about a man who was killed in a car accident & reanimated by a 'Frankenstein' type scientist. He is given enhanced senses, psychic power, & exceptional physical skills. Unable to fix his face, he wears a mask made to look like the scientist's favorite hero to hide his scars.

"The Dark Knight" is set to hit theaters July 18th, 2008! "Superman: Man of Steel" is aiming for a Summer 2009 release with talks of a 'Superman VS Batman' movie hot on its heels, if all goes as planned.
Other DC releases:
'The Flash', written & directed by David Goyer
'Green Hornet', Kevin Smith is working on a script but, not to direct
'Zatanna', Hadley Davis is currently working on a script

And finally, my DREAM PROJECT, "Rising Stars". The studio that was supposed to release it lost the rights after they expired during negotiations with Straczynski. 3 other studios are currently trying to get their hands on it.

See ya in the funny pages!

Hey, there, Fanboys & girls! Rumors say that Rachel McAdams will be playing Tony Stark's secretary, Virginia "Pepper" Potts in "Iron Man". Pepper is very close to Tony & knows of his superhero identity.

Rumors are also abound about Top Cow's "Fathom". James Cameron approached Jessica Alba to star as a marine biologist who discovers she has unusual water-based powers. A script is currently in the works.

DC's "Deadman" will be directed by Guillermo Del Toro & is being scripted at the moment. It's the story of Boston Brand, a circus performer who was murdered during an act. He's later given powers to possess the living in order to find his murderer & help other victims of crime.

Lastly, there is new "Sin City" news. It is said that Robert Rodriguez is filming 2 & 3 back to back. So this probably means that part 2 will have a 'To Be Continued' storyline to it. You've been warned!

See ya in the funny pages!

Fanboys & girls, more Comic Movie news! Virgin Comics has 2 of their comics coming to the big screen very soon. Both starring Nicolas Cage! For those of you who don't know this, Nic was supposed to be Superman but, there was too much trouble getting the project off the ground. So he left the movie. He must regret it something fierce, since he's suddenly attached to 3 comic related projects!

The first, "Sadhu": It's about a down on his luck Englishman named, James Jensen, who joins the Queen's army. He & his family are then posted in India in the Summer of 1858. After a horrible tragedy & faced with his own execution at the request of his commanding officer, he flees into the jungle. James is lost, but, is later found by a band of Indian killers. He is accepted into the group & is soon faced with a choice between his spiritual oath & his human instinct.

The second, "Enigma": This story begins with a rebellion on a Southern plantation during the confederacy, & takes us to New Orleans where a detective is trying to solve a series of history related murders.

Not your basic "Superhero" comics but, very good ones, nonetheless. I'm actually surprised that they are choosing these kind of comics to adapt. These aren't going to be movies filled with the action & explosions of most comic-based movies but, movies filled with suspense & mystery. Not unlike "From Hell", which was based on an Alan Moore series about Jack the Ripper. No "Superheroes" in that story but, a retelling of the classic story that was peppered with facts & rumors of the real case.

Well, that's all for now. Until next time, see ya in the funny pages!

What's goin' down, Fanboys & girls? I was talking with a friend last night about "Ghost Rider", which will be in theaters February 16th. He was asking me if Ghost Rider only changed at night. I told him, "not according to the comics I had read." He's a Spirit of Vengeance, whenever innocent blood is spilled, Ghost Rider was brung out to avenge it. It didn't matter whether it was night or day. This got us on the subject of the Hulk.

Earlier, I told you guys it looks like the Hulk will be grey, therefore, he would be the Hulk all the time. Except, I forgot that he was grey in his first appearance & also only changed at night, not out of anger.(In fact the only reason they changed Hulk to green was because it looked better on paper.)So, Marvel could go that way as well since, they don't really like Ang Lee's version, they might just start over.

Me? I actually liked "Hulk". I loved the way they shot it as a comic book with the panels & all! They stayed true to what the Hulk is. The angrier he became, the bigger he got! That's how he's supposed to be! I mean, I don't know what things people were looking for, but, I got what I went for. I must say, I wasn't pleased with the villain. They should have used the REAL Absorbing Man OR another ACTUAL Hulk villain. Just hearing that the Abomination might be his next supervillian gets me all jittery inside.

Who or what is the Abomination? He was a man jealous of the Hulk's strength, so he decided to expose himself to gamma radiation, on purpose! Instead of becoming like the Hulk, he became an ugly, giant, green MONSTROSITY, that can't change back to just a regular human. He does have the Hulk's strength & he kept his intelligence so he is a REAL threat.

As for the other possible villain, the Leader, he was/is a man also jealous of the Hulk & had exposed his brain to gamma radiation. This increased his brain size considerably & turned him green. He spends his time trying to steal the Hulk's strength by using his gigantic brain to come up with ways to do it. In the cartoon, he actually succeded at this but, was out of control. Even though he was VERY smart, he couldn't control his anger at all while he possessed that power & soon had to give it back to Banner. It was actually pretty funny.

In other comic movie news: DC's "Stardust" will be hitting theaters July 27th. It will star Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, Sienna Miller, Rupert Everett, Peter O'Toole, & Ian Mckellen. The story is of a young man from an English village who is trying to win the heart of his TRUE LOVE by searching for a fallen star. In his journey, he must enter a magical world where he must fight off witches & pirates.

O.K., as with all rumors, things tend to change. I'm now hearing Gwenyth Paltrow will be playing "Pepper" Potts in the new "Iron Man" movie. Also, it seems Angelina is out of "Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For" & they're going with Rachel Weisz or Rose McGowan to be Ava Lord. It'll be interesting to see who is right on these subjects. I remember reading 'Wizard' magazine years ago about casting in movies, & since I still have alot of my old issues, I would sometimes go back & read about what they said. Over 75% of the time they were wrong! They talked about Gambit being in "X-Men 2 & 3" & that Keanu Reeves was gonna play him or how, at other times, they had the cast of the next comic movie completly wrong! Who in the world are they hearing these "rumors" from. I actually have quite a few sources I look at before I say anything with a definate answer. However, there is one that mentions Gwenyth & Rachel, so I figure I'd mention this just to see who is right in the end. Hell, maybe Pepper & Ava, like Gambit, won't be in them at all!

Stan Winston has been hired to design Iron Man's armor. For those who don't know, this man is a genius when it comes to practcal effects & I'm very happy he's been chosen to do this. He created the look of the Predator & the non-CGI dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park" Not to mention he's been in the special effects industry for decades!

There are also talks of multiple baddies in the next "Superman"! Hope they go for someone he can actually get into a fist fight with, like, Metallo or Parasite!

Until next time, see ya in the funny pages!

Sorry for the delay, Fanboys & girls. I've had computer problems! As for the news you've been craving:

Columbia Pictures is currently talking to David Koepp to script "Spider-Man 4".

Doug Jones will be the voice of the Silver Surfer in "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer". He played Abe Sapien in body in "Hellboy" & the voice in the animated version.

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have won the part of Pepper Potts in "Iron Man". Guess we'll just have to wait & see if this will be true.

Speaking of uncertain parts, I was in the store the other day & spotted a movie version of Vengeance from "Ghost Rider"! Will Vengeance really be in the movie? Here's hoping!

And last, but, not least(at least to me), "Alien VS Predator 2" is in the works! I actually liked the first, for the fact that it took things from the comics & I finally got to see a Predator fight an Alien & a QUEEN!!!!!!! Here's hoping for more Alien on Predator action in the sequel than they had in the first!

That's all for now. See ya in the funny pages!

I finally seen an extended trailer for "Spider-Man 3" & I MUST say I'm very upset! It sounds like they're going to make Sandman the robber that killed Uncle Ben. I HATE it when they do that! The robber was obviously killed when he fell out of the window in part 1 & they're using a different actor for Sandman.

Why mess with the origins of heroes & villians when they are just fine for the comics? I understand the Venom origin change. To explain that Spider-man went to another planet would be a tad unbelieveable to non-readers & the cartoon did a great job by having J.J. Jameson's son bring it back from a space trip. But, why change others?

With Spider-man we lost seeing him create his web-shooters. Not a big deal, really, but, why change it? With Daredevil, they took out Stick, trying to make you believe a kid could teach himself all that. In X-Men, they changed Lady Deathstrike, Rogue, Sabretooth, Juggernaught, the list can go on. I just can't understand why they do this.

For story purposes, these things wouldn't really affect it. Stick could have been a 2 second flashback. No biggie. The mutants of X-Men didn't have to change. It would have been MORE interesting to have Wolverine, Deathstrike, & Sabretooth already have a past with each other. Juggernaught was not a mutant & they could've used him differently in 3 & don't get me started on Rogue!

Is there anybody that agrees with me or am I the ONLY nerd bothered by all this?

Bad news, Fanboys & girls. Joss Whedon is off of "Wonder Woman", putting the movie on hold. He says it was money issues. He envisioned a big bidget picture while Silver Pictures wanted a cheap, simple movie. There is no bad blood between them, he says, they just wanted 2 different movies. Guess we'll have to wait a little while longer for our Amazonian Princess to come to the big screen. Hopefully, it doesn't take as long as "Superman Returns" did.

In "Hulk" news a director has been chosen: Louis Leterrier. He's directed "Alien Resurrection", "Transporter 1 & 2", & "Unleashed", among others. Bruce Banner's role has yet to be cast but, the villains have been chosen. General "Thunderbolt" Ross will be the main bane to Banner's existance & my favorite Hulk villain, Emil Blonsky: the Abomination! The movie is slated to be in theaters June 27th, 2008.

One thing that surprised me about the third "Spider-Man" movie is the Lizard wasn't going to make an appearance. They mentioned "Doc Connors" in the first & showed him in the second & I was sure he was going to be the main villain in the third! Yet, I have learned he may be the villain in the fourth. No definitive answer on this yet, I'll keep ya posted.

Speaking of surprises, Katie Holmes has been replaced by Rachel McAdams in "The Dark Knight". I HATE when they change actors for the same role. If Katie couldn't be in it, they should have just removed her character from the movie!

In DVD news, they are releasing an extended edition of "Spider-Man 2". It will have 8 additional minutes to nearly 25 scenes & added bonus features. I would guess the extended scenes may be an important part of what is going to happen in the third installment. No date available to give you at the moment but, keep an eye out.

That's all for now, see ya in the funny pages!

Up a few paragraghs I mentioned that David Goyer was doing the script & directing "The Flash", well, NOT ANYMORE!!!!!! It seems he & Warner Bros. couldn't agree on a good script. Warner Bros. is now working with "Night at the Museum" director Shawn Levy on a new version of "The Flash" that is supposed to be lighter than the much darker "Batman Begins" & "Superman Returns".

After the CGI "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is over & done, Imagi Animation Studios will begin work on another CGI project: "Astro Boy"! It's a story of a lonely scientist who creates a powerful robot boy modeled after his dead son. Astro Boy ends up using his abilities to become a superhero, just in time to save the Earth from an evil alien race! This should be interesting.

Hopefully DC has learned their lesson dealing with Joel Schumacher. He's been heard to say he would like to work on the Vertigo title, 'Sandman'. I guess all we can do is pray they won't let him.

See ya in the funny pages!
