Am I the only one who thinks this movie is gonna rock?! It has that trashy 70's B-Movie feel to it, right down to the scratches in the film! I can't wait for this flick. Or should I say these FLICKS? "Death Proof" & "Planet Terror", fan-flippin'-tastic! I'm already expecting to read the thoughts of those who just don't understand a good mindless action movie, but this movie isn't for those who are looking for "character development". It's for those who want to see a babe with a gun for a leg! I already have a friend pointing out that she isn't pulling the trigger on the gun when it fires. I smacked him for such heresy! Starring Kurt Russell, Rose Mcgowan, Josh Brolin, Michael Biehn, Danny Trejo, & king of the B movie (at least to me): Tom Savini! This is a must see & I have my calender marked for April 6th!

Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

I wouldn't be so sure. I'm a huge Quentin Tarantino fan, and one thing I've always admired about him is his ability to take a B-movie premise and elevate it to an A-level film. Jackie Brown and Kill Bill respectively moved the Blaxploitation and Kung Fu genres into the realm of high art. Tarantino is also first and foremost a writer, so I'd be shocked if he decided to throw out the concepts of story and dialogue this far into his career. Action? Yes. Fun? Yes. Mindless? Don't bet on it.

That would certainly be a bonus on top o' the action. Still, there will be those with something negative to say, nonetheless! Wink There were plenty complaints concerning "Pulp Fiction", even after it was considered a wonderful achievement in film by many fans.

Here comes the negative.... Big Grin

Tarantino ran out of ideas (script wise and direction wise) 10 mins into "Pulp Fiction" and has been a hack ever since, so no, I don't hold high hopes for this work, although I do love the premise.

Just 2 teeny, tiny weeks & this bad boy will be blowing up a theater near you! You know, I find it strange they don't list Bruce Willis in the cast over at IMDB. I THOUGHT I had seen him in the trailer, but when I didn't see him listed in the cast, I figured I must have been mistaken. I now realize, I wasn't. It makes me wonder just how big my main man's part is gonna be in this flick. Hopefully, we're not seeing his entire contribution to the movie in the previews.

Really? How can this be? Asian movies seem to be the most violent out there! They actually have a movie where they release high school aged teens on an island to kill each other! Do they not play these in theaters? Or are they strictly for Japanese release?

The Chinese government are exceedingly strict about which films receive theatre release, although Im no expert and my comments must be taken reservedly.

But I do know that Casino Royale is the first Bond film to be released legally in China. Previous to this, ole 007 was banned (although like every other movie banned, pirated dvds are easily available).

The culture here on an official level, one of great reserve and sobriety. Sexual and violent themes are discouraged by the powers that be, and any real creativity is going to be compromised. Bond has long been seen as a symbol of western decadence, but winds are blowing....

Japanese culture is both abhorred (due to things like the Nanjing massacre) and adored.(popularity of Jap horror is high).

The Middle Kingdom is changing, FAST, and a lot of the old ways will soon be under enormous pressure...stay tuned..1 billion Chinese are looking up from their once completely cloistered rooms.

P.S. Battle Royale is one of my fave films! Smiler

Blasphemy! I don't agree with you at all on this. How can you say that? He is one of the most gifted and talented film-makers we are blessed to have today!

This movie looks amazing. With Tarantino and Rodriguez teaming up, one directing and writing one, it looks promising. Heck, I would go watch it just for Tarantino's writing chops. Looking forward to it.

Cooooooool Cool! Did you read the comments under the video? Talk about some whiners! Some didn't get why Cherry Darling has a gun for a leg, others wanted MCR on the cover (I have no idea who they're talking about), & one even accused the magazine of being homophobic because there are girls on the cover. Good gravy Roll Eyes! Can't people just enjoy a sexy cover these days without the complaints? I sure can, even if that means an occasional smack from the wife Wink!

OH,YEAH! I haven't been this excited about a movie in quite awhile! This is gonna be a whole NEW experience, the likes of which I've never known. I'm a tad upset, though. I didn't know anything about either story except the little bit the trailer showed. However, I've caught a few commercials while watching t.v. & now I know what "Death Proof" is about. Luckily, they've kept "Planet Terror" a bit more mysterious. All I know about that one is Cherry Darling gets a gun put on her stump & Bruce Willis has a little something to do with the story. That's all I wanna know for now. My buddy is actually lucky, because he doesn't have cable, so he doesn't watch t.v. The only previews for movies he sees are the trailers in the theater.

Well hopefully you guys like the fake trailers they are going to show during intermission! Directed by fellow directors Eli Roth and Rob Zombie to name a few. Oh no, I just told you more! Maybe I will tell you who else makes a cameo besided Willis...nah I'm not that mean. Cool

Going to go watch it tomorrow with my buddy as well. My girlfriend didn't even want to think about going.

Well, I'm goin' to see "Grindhouse", real soon. For some reason, they only have 3 showings today: noon, 4, & 8. Naturally, I'm going to the noon show Big Grin. It sucks, 'cuz I gotta go alone. My friend, who's really excited to see it, has to work. I'd wait for him, but I don't wanna Wink!
