watched the movie on cable the other day and even tho it had more plot holes than any other movie i've seen i somehow enjoyed it.
i do have a thing for bad movies so this maybe it.

I would have to say, you're probably right, it is your "thing" . I'm a major Sci-Fi/Action junkie, so of course, I went to see it when it came out. As with most of these movies, I'm blinded by the effects & don't pay too much attention to the story. It ain't until after a few more viewings, when the luster of the effects have diminished, that I begin to realize, this movie sucks! The acting wasn't all that great & the comedy just isn't there. Of course, I had to buy it in order to view it again & again. So, I own a stinker, but that's alright 'cuz my wife loves it & I just consider it one of her movies . So MY personal DVD library is "Suck Free" !

i thought the acting was good except for dr arliss loveless who was a little too campy to take seriously.
the comedy was sort of funny and the action was good.
i think if it wasn't for will smiths charisma it could have been a lot worse.
besides any movie with selma hayek as eye candy cant be all that bad( well except for dogma)

Then, yeah, WILD WILD WEST must win an award for 'badness.'

It was an insult to the wonderful TV series and pretty weak as a movie, but it's still OK if you come to it with no expectations and have a free two hours. (In other words, if you're ignorant of the TV show and you watch it on free cable, maybe half-heartedly, you'll enjoy it enough to not slam it too much, but you probably won't want to watch it again.)

yeah thats exactly it i dont recall the tv series and i watched it on cable with low expectations.
its one of those movies i enjoy watching but after its done and i think about it there are some major problems.

heres what i had a problem with : they tried to hang jim west but not really "trying" real hard since there was noone really there to make sure he wouldnt escape, they were originally supposed to find a bunch of professors but i sure dont remember them finding any.
the saws that were supposed to be magnetically attracted to them sure didnt look like magnetism cause they didnt act magnetic meaning they didnt drive straight to the collars they circled around a bunch of times and west and the other guy seemed to be able to dodge them pretty easily.

other things i had a problem with is arliss really over the top acting and hes really horrible goatee
(why do all bad guys have to have bad facial hair? especially in westerns?)
they were probably lucky to have will smith otherwise i dont think it would have held together at all.
