I've been listening to her new album a lot lately. For those who don't know, Fever Ray is one of the members of the electronica duet the Knife.

The album sounds much like the Knife's stuff, but I like it better.

I feel like Fever Ray's hooks require a little more digging than The Knife's do, but reveal themselves to be much stronger once they appear.

I'm really loving this album.

I really like the album a lot too, but I don't have a favourite song from it cause nothing really hits me hard. I like the Fuck Buttons remix of "If I Had a Heart" Smiler.

Yes! It's great, my favourite track would be Coconut.

"Dry and Dusty" is great. Good album, it's growing on me.

Absolutely in LOVE with this album. The trio of tracks 7-9 are phenomenal, especially "Keep The Streets Empty" is a classic for the ages! I just want to melt when I hear her voice.. I can sort of understand why critics like it better than Silent Shout but I'm not so sure about that.

yeah "Keep the streets empty for me" is really strong musically and emotionally. Her real voice is beautiful. It remembered me of Kaki King the first time i heard it.

Haha. Oh. Excuse me. It's the best album of the year. Scratch that. Best album ever. Scratch that. Best music to be recorded IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. EVA!!! Roll Eyes

What do you want? I gave it a few spins, it's fairly solid all around, but nothing amazing. Again, it's a'ight.

Now that wasn't so hard was it? And a lot more substantive and intelligent that just saying "it's a'ight" like some dumb shmuck who can't think of anything else to say.

Don't be such an ass.

I listened to the album, I wrote my impression of it. "It's a'ight" was actually a concise summation of my feelings. I could have been more expressive, but I chose not to be.

I don't think anyone comes on here to do anything more than share their thoughts and feelings on the music they've heard. I see very little highly intelligent discussion going on, unless you consider stuff like "oh I love this band's lyrics" or "oh this song is so pretty" intelligent discussion.

Actually, what you did was contribute nothing intelligent to the thread. Nobody gives a shit whether or not you think it's "a'ight", people here want to know why you think it's just "a'ight". But that is obviously too big a task for you. It's much easier to just waltz in and say "it's a'ight" rather than attempting to explain why you feel this way. So basically, you're just a lazy idiot. I'll bet you work at a department store or fast food restaurant or some other menial job that requires no brain power. Obviously your musical taste reflects your laziness.

You are way too serious.

You're the one who started the damn thread, and the only thing you had to say about it was "it sounds like The Knife, but I like it more." Wow buddy, slow down on the brilliant insights there.

Why did I type three words to describe my feelings about this album? Laziness you say? Actually, it's more like indifference. If it's something I find to be "eh, alright", I have little desire to try to write a thesis on it to explain my feelings. If I feel the inspiration to say something more, I will. See my thread on Prefuse 73.

As far as I know, there's not quota on words in a post, or a certain level of insight required, or a need to describe the WHY. You never explained WHY you like it more than the Knife. WHY WHY WHY!?!?! DON"T BE AN IDIOT!? NO ONE CARES IF YOU LIKE IT MORE, TELL US WHY!!!

You see? Hardly anyone really describe the why. They just say stuff like "it's badass". But somehow saying it's "badass" isn't a problem for you, saying it's "a'ight" is. And then you start in with the personal attacks. Relax, settle down, and take a deep breath.

That's the kind of effort I'm talking about. And by the way, your initial post was nothing more that a lazy, non-post, period end of story.

My friend told me that the Fever Ray singer sounds like this chick:
