That's the second time I heard that name today. I'll check it out.

But yeah, Tree Wave is like a cross of m83's ambient stuff, MBV's shoegaze, and all done on DotMatrix printers, ataris 2600s, commodore 64s, etc.

I really liked that EP Tree Wave did in 2004. Have they done anything since then? I'd be interested if they have.

When I interviewed the dude from Tree Wave he said that they were really just concentrating on shows (and yet the only time they've been in Denton since I moved-- Treewave canceled) but that an album was kinda coming along. It didn't really seem too promising; they don't seem to take the music aspect of it that seriously.

With this band I find you need a break. I took about a 3 month break before playing their album again. I still like it.

it's an alternative to alternative dance music.

hmm...highlights would have to be Untrust Us, Alice Practice, Crime Wave, Magic Spells, Courtship Dating, 1991, Knights and Tell Me What to Swallow

"Magic Spells" goes on a little too long for me. Would be better if it was cut from 6 minutes to 2-3 minutes.
