Your views on In Silico?
Personally, I think it's brilliant.

I think it's boring as hell compared to Atlanta trio Evol Intent's full-length debut and especially next to anything Venetian Snares has done. They're waaaaaaaaay overhyped and the new album is waaaaaaaay overproduced.

I haven't heard the Evol Intent album, I'll check it out, but isn't Venetian Snares a bit IDM, aren't I clever to compare to Pendulum - although Pendulum is probably a bit far the other way I suppose.

Naw, dude. Check his new album, Detrimentalist. It'll blow your face off with the throwback jungle.

Eeeeek! Another album from Pendulum.... Music so predictable and so formulaic. It's absolutely brainless.

The fact that Pendulum are so brainless is why I liked them so much.

However, the new album is a musical turd. I'll stick with 'Hold Your Colour'. It's not especially clever, but it's fun to jump around to. Isn't that the essence of good dance music?

Kinda. It's just what Teebee, Klute, Roni Size, and all those guys did in the mid-2000s too. I need a little something extra to keep me interested for more than a couple tracks.

I said I'm come back on this, so I will - Evol Intent's album was outstanding, I really enjoyed it.
But Venetian Snares - I just don't get it, you can't dance to it, you can't listen to it, what can you do with it, apart from piss off your neighbours with it. Enlighten me, somebody, please.

Glad to hear it. I'm still loving that album.

I love him, but he's definitely not for everyone. If you don't like these three albums, you don't like Snares:
1. Rossz Csillag Alatt Született
2. Doll Doll Doll
3. Detrimentalist

You may want to check out his acid album Last Step, though. If you like Luke Vibert style acid, it's right up your alley. No drill and bass there.
