im surprised there isnt more talk about the boxcutter album/singles collection Oneiric, especially because of the dubstep hype and its release on planet mu. this is one of the best records i have heard this year, has anyone else heard it?

I heard it. It sounded good enough, but I just don't think dubstep's my thing. Imprezu's a big fan of this album, I know.

I like the album quite a bit, although I think Burial's album edges Boxcutter out for me personally.

Not that there's a "Dubstep Album of the Year" award or anything. But the two are similar in some respects.

Boxcutter's Glyphic is even better than Oneiric. They way that man cuts up beats is incredible.

I like Burial a lot too, but I can't really say which I like more. They're not really comparable, Boxcutter is much more edgy, and poppy than the dark textures of Burial.
