What is the deal with every stupid electronic ,and the like, album getting all sorts of praise and acclaim heaped upon it? I'll tell you what I don't care for the genre, there I said it, its boring, redundant and un-inspired (amongst other unflattering critiques I thought of but was too lazy to write down). My hypothesis is this, and tell me I'm right on this... 1. Robots are secretly controling what kind of music we enjoy. Why? I'm not sure yet but I'm certain it has to do with some kind of ultra logical plan to destroy and/or take over the world 2. People have bad taste and/or are mindless poseurs who assume anything that is seemingly esoteric must be soooo cutting edge that it is sooooo good that it doesn't even need to sound good or interesting in anyway shape or form...and are probably robots or at least robot sympathizers.

So there we have it - 'Conclusive proof' that all electronic music is redundant.

Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, Kraftwerk, Stockhausen, Squarepusher, Yello, Gary Numan, Nine Inch Nails, Fischerspooner, Orb, KLF, Massive Attack, Pet shop boys, Leftfield - even Rolf Harris on his stylophone...

It's all been part of a plan to 'destroy and/or take over the world'. Either that or I'm a 'mindless poseur'.

Hmmm...

Does anyone else find this hypothesis a tiny bit questionable?

Kids should be monitored more closely. Getting access to their parents computer!! Roll Eyes

Oh, could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been,
Or weep as I could once have wept, o'er many a vanished scene;
As springs in deserts found seem sweet, all brackish though they be,
So, midst the withered waste of life, those tears would flow to me.

Ha funny... Electro and techno are 2 very different types of music. And most electro composers use analog equipment/synths. Electro music is getting bigger here in north america, and hopefully more people will get turned on by it. Its wonderful simple yet effective music that puts you in the mood, and just wants to make you go nuts!

listen when Nine Inch Nails first came out there was a definite mentality in the metal world that if it wsan't guitars, bass, drums and vocals then there was something fishy about it, even keyboards back then were considered a bit floofly, but hey - this brand of music definitely has its own merits, definitely adds those merits to the metal genre (when it is done with taste) and even stands on its own when it's done right, I mean, Enigma, NIN, etc, these are works of art sometimes... - Fishfool @ The Reef Tank
