What do you guys recommend as a good starting place for getting into Nobukazu Takemura? What would you consider his best work?

The only album I've heard by him is the one he did last year with Zu, which is excellent.

So, I'd be interested in hearing about any other good albums to check out...

I think Scope is his best album, its probably his most formless and challenging which is exactly why I listen to it more than his other works.

that is the album i ended up starting with and wow, is that a lot to digest. it seems like it may be worth repeat listens to see if it fully sinks in, but it is certainly out there. does he have anything more structured that you would recommend?

Hoshi No Koe (spelling may be wrong) is excellent, a lot of childlike instrumentation and simplicity on that one so it may be a better introduction.
