Very nice pick, Dork and I would agree with you completely. The album is wonderful.
If you like Snares, you gotta check out DJ Hidden's debut The Later After. It's so dark, but sparse and often quite subtle. Totally remarkable.

I think that some of you (or all of you) overrate the Venetian Snares record. I mean, it's pretty repetitive and you always hear the same vocals (sounds) and the same breakcore patterns. After listening to 3 or 4 songs, you'll hear the same things again...It's a good record, nothing more.
You gotta pick your Snares. It's not all great, but he's got some really good sh!t. You can sure hear the trackers sometimes, but I think he really pushes himself in unique ways with what he does. I own most of his catalog, and I find about 20% of his output is totally unlistenable. To quote Wayne, Led Zeppelin didn't write songs that everyone liked. They left that to the Beegees.

This has been my quest. So far I have found at the controls by agoria to be good. But, if you're in to that type of music I recommend going to beatport and checking the top 100 tracks and sampling until you find a track you like. Adding it to your cart and continuing. This is really the best way to find good tracks. From this I recommend Is You by D.I.M. The real beauty of this approach is that you can download a free copy of ableton 7 from their website and it is hours of bliss.
As for full albums, I like Untrue by Burial--except that towards the end of the album it dries out (but raver is good). My Favorite Type of Irrelevance by Metamatics is INCREDIBLE. I have found out about these guys last year and they seem to be creeping up the notability charts.
But I recommend the beatport route since singles are the way to go.
