We don't have a Junior Boys thread yet??? Well, now we do.

I love love love Last Exit, it was incredible.

Well, for more Junior Boys, they have recently put out the latest installment in the Body Language series done by Get Physical, Body language Six. It's an album they mixed and it features an exclusive track "No Kinda Man".

For tracklisting and a bit more info:

I think what I like about the JB's, which is really obvious in Last Exit, is the combination of cleverness and light touch. The more I think about it, almost every track on the album is sooo close to being ordinary, but the way they handle the beats, samples, vocals etc with such delicate precision makes Last Exit a really enjoyable experience. It's not mind blowing stuff, but it's not trying to be. The whole thing package just reeks of cool... in a good way.

I bought So This Is Goodbye asap, I believe I preordered it from Amazon.

I really don't like that album

I'm still sad that I missed them when they were in Tampa... I wasn't 18 so I couldn't get in.

Last Exit is one of the sexiest records of all time. Try putting it on next time you're trying to seduce someone.

Agreed. I just discovered "Under the Sun" a couple weeks ago - and it is THE definition of sexy. The frailty in his voice, the subtle quivers.. so hot. I'm not gay either.

Last Exit is overrated
This is Goodbye I liked much better, much catchier.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Last Exit was brilliant: nuanced, sexy, soothing. So This is Goodbye was half-assed, easily the more overrated of the two. On the latter album, I like "Double Shadow" and that's about it. The melodies are much weaker on STIG and worst of all, the lyrics just DON'T WORK.

Case Example: "Count Souvenirs"
Empty stalls and shopping malls
That we'll never see again
Hotel lobbies like painful hobbies
That linger on!

W.T.F.?!?!

Glad to finally see someone feels the same way as I do. Reassures me of my sanity.

Hey, all I said was that I liked it better, and that it is catchier (which is a fact) - not that that's anything to be proud of, and I respect your dedication to Last Exit. Myself, I find myself skipping to the duo of "Birthday" and "Under the Sun" quite often. The lyrics have always been cheesy to me, anyway, so that's a non factor.

I've just got into this band after hearing Begone Dull Care. I'm not sure yet which of their albums I like best, though I find all of them pretty great. I agree with a friend who said that this is the kind of music that leaves you not in awe but in a feeling of absence for what felt good and sweet only minutes ago.

Begone Dull Care is definiately the wamrest of them all and probably the most accessible. "Sneak A Picture" seems like a highlight to me.

Of all of the JB' songs, my favourite has to be FM from "So This Is Goodbye".

So what do you guys think of the new album?
