Hey, what genre of electronica would Crystal Method fall under? And others like Chemical Brothers? I LOVE these two groups. Plus, does anyone know what others out there,(in the electronica music world), that are like the Crystal Method and Chemical Brothers? I am VERY new to this genre. I love all kinds of music and really got into the Crstal Method and Chemical Brothers and that got me very interested in others. I like and own cds of the Overseers and Dirty Vegas and Moby and fatboy slim as well. Any type of direction from those groups that you see I might be going to? Any help would be great! Thanks.

Mainly dont like it because it is old.Became prevelant in the mid 90's and had its little splash.I had a chemical brothers album and it was cool at the time. The only artist that i really liked that came out from that period was the prodigy.
Really has not seen much of a renovation. There is a bunch of albums with that sound, but you would be better off just finding a certian handfull from the heyday of breaks.
I have been listening to electronic music for the majority of my life, i have listened to and enjoyed music in probabbly almost all sub-genres of electronic music.I couldnt even begin to pick one style that is my favorite, it would probabbly change week by week.

That's cool. Thanks for the info. There are so many different "sub-genres" though. I'd love to listen to all of them to see what other "types" I'd like besides the "breaks". I do think that IDM is more my taste since I don't go clubing anymore. Older and married. I just don't want to waste any time listening to any bad stuff when you or other "experienced" electronica people know what the "good stuff" is. I think I'd be very interested in some types of trippy ambient type of music. Stuff that let's you just sit back and trip out or chill out. Commercially succesful or not.
Thanks again.
