Nice - Orchestra of Bubbles was a very strong late comer to my 06 list. I'm definitely looking forward to anything new from those guys.

Chromophobia has just hit me like a train... It's great but I wouldn't go as far to say that it's the best electronic record this year.

I think it probably is... though that other Kompakt record, The Field's From Here We Go Sublime, is growing on me. I can see me liking it just as much as Chromophobia.

I still have yet to enjoy any electronica more than Chromophobia or Sex Change this year.

I'm just not getting tired of them.

YACHT's I Believe In You. Your Magic Is Real. is really growing on me. I can't decide if the lyrics are really witty and making fun of themselves (I think this it) or if it's unintentionally cliche. I think irony's what the indie world tends to aim for...

This Bliss - Pantha du Prince.

Man, 2007 has shaped up to be a really great year for microhouse thus far.

Yeah, that album's pretty good.

I'm still being floored by trans am, gui boratto and the field (this is my new one, but it's awesome). It bugs me that the latter two have gotten so much more coverage than trans am.

On the ambient note, Copia is officially out... Eluvium just couldn't possible have followed up "Talk Amongst the Trees"'

Jatun's s/t has been getting a lot of play by me too.

Agreed. Totally.

In regard to your Trans Am statement, I like it, but I don't LOVE it... It does make for a nice listen, but I can't listen to it compulsively like some of my favorite elctronic records this year, most notably the Gui Boratto and Field records. I haven't stopped listening to From Here We Go Sublime since I first heard it! I also like This Bliss quite a lot, but I don't think I hold it in such high esteem as those other two records. Both Chromophobia and From Here We Go Sublime could end up in my top 5 at year's end.

On second thought......

I definitely like This Bliss as much as Chromophobia, but From Here We Go Sublime is really in a class all its own... without question my favorite electronic album of 2007.

They're a really fun band, it'd be nice if they came around my parts...

Tiesto's new album Elements of Life is really enjoyable.

Also been listening to a lot of Photek lately.

The new Junior Boys remix EP 'Dead Horse' is spectacularly great...get it for the Hot Chip remix of "In the Morning" alone, that song makes me feel unconditionally happy at any time I hear it...just incredible really, highly recommend it.
