Does anyone listen to the Raincoats? Their first three albums are really quite wonderful, specifically "Odyshape", which is some of the most beautiful music you're likely to hear. "Moving" would not be any less relevant in any country in the world, and their first is classic punk. This is really pure, high art music that never seems to get mentioned.

I love both the s.t. and Odyshape. Seeing this post gave me the get up and go to check out their discog on wiki.

* 1979 - The Raincoats
* 1981 - Odyshape
* 1983 - The Kitchen Tapes (live)
* 1984 - Moving
* 1996 - Looking in the Shadows

So there are a couple I haven't heard yet. Interesting...

Yep, the Raincoats were a damn fine band. Scratches the itch for that spidery, shouty punk need.
I wouldn't describe the music as beautiful however.
That wouldn't leave a lotta room for Debussy et al. Big Grin
