Anyone here a Hughart fan?

I just recently discovered Barry Hughart's novels of Number Ten Ox and Master Li. I finished the first of his novels, Bridge of Birds and just started Story of the Stone. Great books, it's too bad that Hughart didn't go on to finish any other novels in the series after the first three. It's my understanding that at one time he was planning seven.

Huh. Ditto here. I truly believe that Bridge of Birds is one of the finest fantasy books ever written. The sequels are slightly disappointing relative to BoB, but still pretty damn good.
