Sarah Waters is an amazing contribution to Lesbian Fiction.
She tends to write in an older era (similar to the feel of Oliver!). Fingersmith is a personal favourite of mine. She gently develops the main relationship without homosexuality even being a thought in the protagonist. Filled to the brim with cultural perspectives of the time, Fingersmith is a captivating novel filled with rich emotion.
