Author David Halberstam Dies in Crash

What a sadness. I am a great fan of his entire body of work, though as a lifelong Cards fan, I will always have a soft spot for October 1964.

Joking aside, this is a sad event. Though most of his more influential work on the Vietnam War was before my time, I feel fortunate to have read many of his works published in the 90's and 00's. A truly great loss.
