I need to recommend an author that went generally overlooked in 2004. Will Christopher Baer just recently came out with "Hell's Half Acre," the third installment in a trilogy of books starting with "Kiss Me, Judas," and "Penny Dreadful."
I was never a fan of reading poetry, but that's the only way I can describe Baer's words on the page. I highly recommend it and urge Metacritic to consider Baer for a listing.
