I say number one only because it has got the baddest Sith in the movies, Darth Maul.

Lucas was not running out of ideas. That was how it was always supposed to end. The Death Star scene was added to "A New Hope" because he needed an ending. Just in case it turned out the movie wasn't that profitable. If you listened to the characters in "Return of the Jedi" this Death Star was bigger & more powerful than the first.

As for my favorite? Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Wonderful! It's the one I had looked forward to since I heard he was making the prequels & it did not disappoint!

Just for the pure entertainment (action, romance, and special effects) and its jaw-dropping audacity (I mean, WHAT a cliffhanger!), The Empire Strikes Back is my favourite.

But as my first words were practically Millennium Falcon, I have to say that Revenge Of The Sith is the one that seems to bring together everything about the series that I love in one film. The ending with its dual Tatooine sunsets echoing "A New Hope" always brings a tear to my eye.

Return of the Jedi had the best Space Battle for me (Battle of Endor). It also revealed the EMperor (finally) we see very briefly in A new hope and the Empire Strikes Back. It reveals the connection between Leia and Luke. ANd....... Ewoks... nuff said.

i thought the new episodes ruined the whole original trilogy for me, with attack of the clones being the worst. The acting was dreadful, the scripts were dreadful: the films were dreadful.
