God of War is definetely one of the best games on Playstation 2, period.

There's only one major annoying problem with it, and that would be all the 'Simon says' bullshit that keeps coming up.

That awful hydra boss, for instance. First it wastes time roaring five times in a row, not damaging me and not giving me a chance to damage it, before it does what it needs to do before I cna hit it. Then when you finally get to the end, you might have to do half of it over again if it doesn't like where you're standing when you press 'circle'.

Then I can't kill those damn medusas because it doesn't like the way I rotate the analog sticks.

God of War is a great game, but it might even be a contender for top five or so action games ever, if they took out the 'Simon says' crap.

Yes, because every enemy should be beaten only by pressing "X" repeatedly.
