Wow...I have fewer good PS2 games than I thought. Then again, I don't like the flashy graphics-oriented FFs or the combo-ridden super-complex-controls action adventure games, so my options are more limited.

Well, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss, Rogue Galaxy, FF12...all I haven't played yet, and are probably all better than at least five on that list. Also Growlanser IV and V which I might never get to play.

Damn, I forgot about Contra: Shattered Soldier

That game was so much fun. I stayed up all night trying to beat that thing, and when I finally did, I was relieved....haha

I beat it on easy, where you have 99 continues. Never on normal, where you have like 15 lives for the entire game.

The coolest thing about Contra: SS is that you can't save level completions. You have to start from the start every time you boot the game. So it's the cloest thing to playing an NES action game to come out in the past several years, not counting space shooters.

Exactly....it goes back to the "fun" days (back when graphics took a backseat to gameplay) which is a big plus for me....

Beating a game in one night and learning the depth of it, then coming back for more time and time again just to better your score/time is what video games are all about.

Wow!! Lots of horror, (my fav type) but never tried Fatal Frame series....all are that good eh?? Should i try 1st one Or can I start with the new (3rd) one.

I traded in my Silent Hill 2 I never really got through the game, not even halfway.

Did anyone else play that game? Did it have a good ending?
