Wow i think this has to be the best football game ive ever played. This blows any madden ive played right outta the water. Not to mention its less than half the price of Madden. $20. The game play is pretty much flawless, not to mention what i consider to be the best instant replay features ever in any game. There are so many extra features i havent even scratched the surface yet. So what am i trying to get threw into the minds of you out there in cyberspace.. Its worth the $20 to check out and become hooked until the season begins..
Are you gonna buy Madden, too?? The combined price of both is so low, it's almost worth doing just to compare. (Not that I am.... I'm not a big video football fan.)

I'm going to buy Madden too. I have ESPN and it's awesome. It's something different than the same old Madden every year. The players move much more realistically and the graphics are top notch. The gameplay is good too, and the replays look real. Only complainst is that it lacks some of the in-depth franchise features Madden has. But it's no big deal. I can't even think of any right now. It's definitely worth $20. I'd buy it for $50.
I was wondering if anyone who has NFL 2K5 could tell me if it has a training camp and/or 2 minute drill, or tutorial similiar to Madden 2004... Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
You know, I bought ESPN Football last year and enjoyed it -- it was a change from Madden, and the first-person football feature is a blast. But, after renting the most recent one (I always rent before I buy), I just wasn't as impressed for some reason. The franchise mode is incredibly thin, the characters look too "cartoony" (sorry, but Dante Hall is NOT a muscle-bound guy) and the lack of defensive player control was frustrating.
I give Sega props for challenging Madden. But I'll rent EA's offering before even spending as little as $20 on this game, if only for the more realistic game play and insanely deep franchise mode.
