Has anyone herd much about this game?
It looks impressive sorta like a perfect dark clone time splitters style!

basicly its a FPS with an alien theme (if you hadnt already gatherd from the name area 51) but it looks impressive the graphics look good and early reviews iv read all give it the thumbs up other than this i dont know much about the game apart from iv seen a few screenshots of it.

I'm just curious...Is that a remake of the arcade game Area 51? Because the arcade game is awesome.

I think it's based on the arcade game, but unless you have a light gun or whatever, It'll probably play much differently.

I'll have to go buy a gun for my ps2, now that you mention it. It just wouldn't feel right playing "Area 51" without it.

Wasn't there another Area 51 game for the ps one back in the day?

This game is actually NOT going to be playable WITH a light gun. Its based on the arcade game but the developers chose to use a different more freeing gameplay mechanic other than on rails lightgun blasting. It will still be FP but it will be more akin to "Halo" than "House of the Dead".

That's interesting. I hope that they can pull it off, instead of wasting a perfectly good game idea. Do you know anything about multiplayer yet, or is that still a secret?

just thought id clear that up and iv heard a rumour that this game is going to be 2 player coop nothing about the multiplayer or online modes tho sorry!

I recently purchased Jampack edition 11, with a playable demo of Area 51, I was incredibly overwhelmed. Duel wielding guns, incredible graphics, crazy action, the demo reminds me of the first level of "Halo"(I don't know if it is acceptable for me to mention XBOX's best on the PS2 forum) except with different aliens. If it turns out as good as the demo, it will certainly get a huge amount of gaming publiciity. Needless to say, I am really looking forward to it.
