i have heard that this is a great game and i was wondering what it is about and is it worth buying

I personally thought FFXII looked incredibly boring and basic (I watched my roommate play through most of the game), compared to some of the earlier Square RPG's. But many seem to like it, as well, so your best bet might be to rent it and see what you think it. Or pick up a used copy, as I can't imagine it's more than 20 dollars.

My favorite Final Fantasies were IV, VII, and IX. I've heard X and VI were good, but I haven't played them. Stay away from the travesty that was VIII.

I know a lot of people who enjoy WoW, but it seems to consume your life. You need to ask yourself if it's worth it.
