You know, Im kinda pissed off. I have no freakn idea why RE4 wasn't an exclusive game for the GAMECUBE. I really hope you know that this game has been out for awhile, I think it came out like around January or February or something. Just because it's coming back to the PS2 now, it might get like a huge widespread audience. That to me is just wrong. Not to mention the fact that they added more weapons to the game, upsets me even more.
p.s.-I hope this game doesn't win GameoftheYear, because I can't remember if the Gamecube won any, (possibly because the year hasn't ended yet :/ ) but if anything, the GAMECUBE version should win it, NOT the ps2 one.

I rented it the other day. The game was awesome sure... edge of the seat action (you *will* jump... no matter how calm and collected you are), good graphics (for PS2), tons of weapons! But, I got a headache after playing it for only 2 hours. The camera view made me sick, kinda like when you get motion sickness. The camera basically follows you wherever you go because it's placed just behind the character you're controlling, and everytime you twist and turn the camera does the same. Made me sick. Quite unfortunate I can't stand playing an otherwise excellent game.

I purchased RE4 for PS2 and I'm very satisfied. Although the GC version has a better control scheme, the PS2 version is just as good. Now, for the person who disliked the PS2 version. I do have sympathy for you and I understand. RE4 is the best game for GC currently but went unnoticed for quite sometime. Yet, there are several factors why Capcom chose to make RE4 a PS2 game also. First, commercial success. RE4, as you know, didn't sell. Since it's a great game, Capcom switched it to the other console to try to "milk" it for what it's worth. Also, it was rarely advertised outside of any game magazines or websites. Second, the audience. The majority of the GC players are pre-teens and under. Because of that, games such as the Super Monkey Ball series and Animal Crossing will sell better that RE4. That's why you don't see Disney games on Xbox, or GTA games on the GC. Third, the past Resident Evil games for GC. The first Resident Evil game for the GC was a success, but as it continued, the popularity of the RE games on GC decreased along with the quality. Even the major comeback of RE4 couldn't beat the lack of popularity of the series on the Gamecube. By the way, RE4 for the GC has won several different awards, including Game of the Year for several different magazines and sites.
