I know not a lot people played Valkyrie Profile..it's one of those cult classic rarities that sells for $75 on ebay. (I only bought it because it was by the same developers as Star Ocean).

But, Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria (A prequel) was just announced in Japan for a 2006 release, and since Tri-Ace was published by Enix which is now merged with Square, there's a very good chance of it being translated.

I had to post this because I'm really excited about it but not many other people I know have played it.

I would certainly play VP if I were ever fortunately enough to get my hands on it.

It's really too bad how many good RPGs are ridiculously rare.

It’s now available in english. I was just about to start a thread about it, asking if anyone had played it yet or if it was any good. It's a good thing I checked to see if someone else already had.

I actually haven’t played any version of VP yet, I was recently wandering around JB-HiFi and I saw it on the shelf going for $65.

I’m in the mood for a good RPG, so my questions 3 are: Has anyone here played VP 2 yet? Was it definitely worth the buy? Would you say it is likened to anything in particular?
