Just asking, that's all.

I mean, I think that if the PS3 comes out, people buy it, and people rarely played or never played the PS2 anymore. And that's sad. Frowner The reason why, well, the PS2 will be outdated. How can a high-selling console can go like this?

How often you play your PS2? When was the last time you played it?

AND NO ARGUMENTS, NO INSULTS. THANK YOU.

paratroopa, still advertising your other threads, eh?

ps2 is just nearly impossible for me to get into at this point; the fuzzy textures and the fugly online quality. the only reasons i can see me going back is for god of war 2 and shadow of the colossus.

I see.

That's why, after a few decades, the high-selling PS2 will be forgotten........ Frowner
That, was the PS7 generation.

If you have time, you can try play the PS2 for several minutes and think the nice memories of PS2.... I hope.

Speaking of that, after I owned a Wii, I didn't play the Gamecube for so long.... Frowner

It's not saying I don't want to play it, it's just that I don't have time. "Sigh"

What I'm doing right now? Well, listening to Dragonforce's "Through The Fire and Flames". From Guitar Hero. Wink

I have my PS3 and PS2 next to each other and both hooked up to my HDTV. That makes the PS2 games look so much better and while I do play PS3 more often I still play horror games like Silent Hill and a few new ones that that i buy like Coraline and Primal on PS2 coz it is best for that genre still.

PS3 is for Ovlivion, Fallout3, Killzone, Eternal Sonata. RE5 and SH: Homecoming are a start but the horror survival still belongs to PS2 as do an awesome amount of great RPGs.

I was an early adopter of the PS3, so I have back-compat on my console. No need to keep my PS2 around. When God of War 2 came out, I hooked it up again to play in turn with PS3 to see if there was much difference. There wasn't a visual difference, b/c the game was not optimized for PS3. So I just finished playing GoW2 on PS2, because at the time there was no DualShock controller for PS3. Since then, ol' PS2 has been resting back in its blue store-bought box on a back-shelf in a closet somewhere in my house.

Interesting. I wonder when you can play your PS2 again..... Probably a month or a year later perhaps? Wink

The real question is "When did I last play my PS3"? I play my PS2 constantly, but my PS3? I haven't touched it for a year, except to move it out of the way. There's just barely any games on it I want or even like, but the PS2 has a much better library (even in its last two years).

Mine has one of the few with an emotion chip and it can enhance the graphics of PS2 games. So I haven't touched my PS2 since.

Actually, the only reason why I like my PS3 is because of how well it plays PS1 and PS2 games.. As well as Blue Rays.

The memory storage eliminates the need to have all those stupid memory cards. My PS1 memory card wipes at random, so I am very grateful for that.

Also, you can take the most scratched up game in the world and play it like its new. The Xbox 360 wouln't even play a new game with one scratch well.

Heh. Same, except I'd be playing the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess on my Wii.

Yes, PS2 has good graphics and with the Pcs we need a Graphic card for playing some Specific Games. But in some PC some Games higher definition Graphic card will be needed than what we have now and we cant buy Graphic cards again and again for playing games in PC

PS3 has some good graphics than PS2 but the main reason PS3 introduced is to lead the market against Xbox 360. Both PS3 and Xbox 360 are same but Xbox is cheaper with some good software updates.

I still play on PS2, mainly because there are dozens of excellent games played and still to play, where on the new consoles (especially PS3)there are only few great games out, and everything is at least 3 times more costly than on the old generation.

And about PS3 vs. Xbox360, Blue ray will, when I buy my console, be why it´ll be a PS3... and FF XIII too, of course.

Don´t be suprised if sometime, somewhere, someplace when you least expect it, someone steps up to you and says:
