What does that have to do with PS3 or XBOX 2?

xbox looks like a black square gas stove with a single burner in it though it rocks with the graphix. if xbox2 will come out first, i hope the ps3 could beat it. i mean that's what they did with xbox right?? it came out later than the ps2. i hope that happens so we can see how sony would beat microsoft this time (if they can). i think they can because of the nice titles they have in the playstation like ff series etc. so microsoft has to think about their games this time. i mean what Halo? oh and halo2? and what halo3? i mean come on man!

the ps2 had the good series (GT, GTA) but it dont really matter. Just get the console you want and your fave games and just play the damm thing. PS3 should blow the crap out of PS2!!! (Hopefully)

xbox has managed to beat ps2 once in its life cycle(april,2004,US only).it has lost to ps2 all around the world http://forum.pcvsconsole.com/viewthread.php?tid=14263for those of you who are inquisitive must know that the sales of gaming consoles plummeted drastically amidst speculation of the arrival of new gen gaming consoles....but as you can see from the link above microsoft was clearly the sore loser despite the fact that xbox is superior to ps2....xbox could never beat ps2 in any part of the US (except us for one month only!!) and since sony is coming up with a superior, highly innovative console(ps3) it would beat its competitors by a huge margin...and there is no stopping it!!!

i have also heard that they are coming up with a much smaller very powerful processor that is unheard of till now....it would be completely new .the japanese are innovators..are they entering the computer market with a processor so small and powerful as been annotated...then ofcourse i would prefer those over heavy and ugly intel and AMD processors.microsoft is now suffering from marketing myopia.even if the ps3 is launched in 2007 i am gonna wait till then...can anyone name a good game in XBOX other than halo....well DOA is merely an adult game...compare those title to the likes of FFseries,GTA(managed to beat halo2)series,TEKKEN,DEVIL MAY CRY and many others....!!!

While it's fun to think about each of them, its a waste of time to really compare them at this point. If you think back to what Sony said the PS2 was capable of way back before it's launch, it was supposed set new standards for graphical ability. Now, while it certainly hasn't done that, newer games for it (such as God of War) are proving that the power has been there all along on the PS2. The XBox is certainly way good as well. I can't stand Microsoft, but the "box" is still fun to play, and no one can argue the graphical muscle it has. But when you think about the next machines from each company, the two companies are going in completely different directions. Microsoft is staying with the tried and true technology, and appears to be willing stay on that path for as long as possible. Sony has decided the time was right for the next evolution in processing. The architecture of the Cell processor is already being considered as the replacement for the x86. The possibilities for this design could be endless. If the Cell is able to do the things that Sony is claiming for it, they could be the new Intel, and we'll all be hearing a LOT more about it very soon. But ultimately...who cares about that. All we really want are games that kick ass. Before, it was which machine could produce the best graphics and sound that influenced us on the games. Both of these new machines are going to be unbelievable when compared to anything any of us have played games on at any point in the past. Now we get to see what developers can do with gameplay, and storylines to make their games really shine, when great graphics and sound are simply expected. I have all three consoles, and just got ride of my Dreamcast *sigh*....and I'll be looking forward to both machines from MS and Sony. Just play the games.

the playstation 3 is much more powerful than the xbox 2.. the processing power of cell is better than the xbox g processors put together however this will not be very noticable while playing the consoles as xbox also have a good mapping technique which makes the graphics nearly as good as the playstation 3.. the thing that made me wonder was why microsoft lied in the press conference about the actual processor that was in the xbox that they were displaying.. All XBox is is a glorified PC whereas Playstation 3's design is more concentrated on gaming.. Being in the animation industry i have got views from many different people; some siding with xbox others with plastation however if i was to choose one of the two i would go for playstation 3 even if it is released at a later date.. as for playstation 2 i would like to say that the games developed still do not test the capabilities of the console.. do not believe too much of what either of the companies tell u.. u will see how later on both companies will ditch some of their initial ideas.. oh.. i wanna say something about control pads.. i dnt really like the playstation 3 ones.. they should have stuck more to playstation style.. but eeer.. i think that the number one controller so far is nintendo 64 and 2nd is playstaion 2.. am i going on a bit long?? i dunno.. i got a big project to do and im kinda losing my marbles working on this shit.. i got a deadline tmrw aswel.. hmmm.. aite.. i'll shaddap.. :/

I'm sure you are talking about the Nintendo Revolution, so I won't hold you against it. As far as these two are concerned, they are most likely going to have the same relationship they have now. XBOX has more power, but not many exclusive titles and PS2 will have less power but more popular games.

You highly doubt it wont be? Do you mean that you think it will be? I'm not good with triple quadruple negatives. However, if you mean it will be, then I completely agree. Its Microsoft dude! NEVER ever underestimate the power of Microsoft. Also, Nintendo is being secretive because if they reveal some of their capabilities, the other systems will quickly update their system with the feature, thus eliminating the unique abilities we love from Nintendo.
Xbox 360 will also be compatible with my lovely IPOD and my PSP that I will soon own. I'd take a system with copious numbers of exclusive games and amazing controls over PS3. Nevertheless, I'm with Jman in saying that no one really knows what they are talking about yet and we have yet to see the true powers of any of the systems.

I agree to your agreement Being the slightly shifted and bias Playstation user I am I will say that Im hoping for PS3 to come out on top, but if not I will willingly go for another console. So far the PS3 lineup is looking very VERY exciting, as does (again I will mention) their killer game graphics. I do have to say the screenshots Ive seen of Ghost Recon 3 were simply awesome, but that was only the first. I really have to say the game that caught my eye with the most stunning graphics was, unbiasly, Killing Day for PS3. I was blown through my wall and smashed into a innocent tree that lives no more. But, again, there is much to come still.

I hate to burst your bubbles, but that game was nothing but CGI meaning it was NOT in-game graphics.

PS3 will beat Xbox in my opinion and it has better graphics is what i have found out. The only thing is I heard that Xbox 360 is not the new Xbox 2, it is like some transition towards it. Especially since it is coming out so soon after Xbox, in retrospect of PS2 and PS3 release dates.
