anybody have an idea about when the dukes game will be out?

There should be a bunch of reviews available during the week next week (likely by the end of the week). The first review by Game Informer is pretty luke-warm, but by no means entirely negative. Here's another brief quote from that review:

"The basic racing is decent, but the dull missions and lack of polish (there's some really bad collision detection going on in parts of Hazzard County) make this little more than a 'me too' product designed to sell solely on the appeal of the franchise." [Oct 2004, p.129]
