SSX 3 I'd say is my absolute favorite as far as the free roaming and customization go ( so many decisions...so little time.). The graphics were astounding, the gameplay was tight and the concept and presentation felt so fresh for a snowboarding game and still does now. Too bad it was kinda short. Jak II was aslo really good despite it's difficulty level ( set just the way uh huh uh huh I like it uh huh uh huh...)

I'm new to this board, so I say sorry for resurrecting an old thread.

I don't know why, but I like GTA III better than Vice City. The only think why VC is a better game for me is that you can walk into buildings and fly around easier than in GTA III, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah I "Love" the camera angles and the "scary" thrills in it. Resident evil was never a good title.

Know it all you forgot he original mortal combat...but otherwise you are correct.

It's hard to give a best game ever on any console including PC, because there are all time favorites, and there are also some classics which are great. I guess I'll name the systems I was familiar with.

You forgot Age of Empires and Quake. Both revolutionary at the time, not to mention extremely popular. And I'd make that Grand Theft Auto 3. The original Grand Theft Auto wasn't really that influencial and was popular more for it's subject matter than anything else.

Yeah, I have the original, it isn't good. But I have become adopted the the style we see now in GTA so it might be subject to argument. Before the third I didn't like the series that much, but GTA3 was revolutionary.

From what I've seen, the new GTAs popularities are also highly influenced by their subject matter.

Not really, yes the subject helps, but the past three GTAs have been excellent.

I'm not denying that they are good games, but their popular appeal is still greatly bolstered byt the subject matter.

Too many honorable mentions to list. Never did much like any of the GTA games though.

I think that the best game ever still hasnt even been thought of or created, but when it comes out everyone is going to crap themselves

San Andreas is a great game, no denial on a site like this. However, there are games that are better in some ways or more groundbreaking. Therefore, it is hard to put current games on a list such as this AwesomeMan.
