And anyone who goes to forums with nothing positive or constructive to say has more time than sense.

Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on one. New technology always excites me. It's crazy to think how far things have come in the last 15-20 years. For those of you who own one, let me know some details so I can get excited of what to look forward to.

I was only stating the fact that the PS3 is, like most new consoles, overpriced and that it will come down in price soon enough. Lets also not forget the X360 is a darn sight cheaper with some fine games already. Get one right now if you want but my advice is to wait for the inevitable price drop or at least to wait and see what the games are like. That sounds pretty constructive to me.
But hey, i could be a sheep like you - swayed by the hype and with no original opinions of my own. You've already made your mind up that you're going to get one despite admitting that you know little about the machine (by asking people for "details" about it). It's you who has no sense. Still, at least Sony loves people like you........

..Let me ask you something numb nuts... when will the price drop be? 1 year... 2 years? Im sure your crystal ball would know the answer, so empty wallet can save $50.00. The systems (xbox 360, ps3, and nintendo wii) are selling like hotcakes at the moment, and most likely won't be going down in price anytime in the near future. Are you also going to not drive til gas prices come down too? Who are you to say someone who buys a new console that is a technological masterpiece at a lower than production cost price has less sense? You obviously don't have much of an education, or money to make an argument like that. Based on your logic, I would have to wait 2 years til the systems drop in price, and to see what games there are... F no. I've got the cash, and I trust in both companies, so, therefore I buy. And by the way... the Xbox 360 is $399.00 BEFORE the HDD drive, which knocks it to $499.00 . (same price as a PS3 with a blu ray player)

So, you've got a lot of money then? Well done, i'm happy for you!
Listen, try to understand what i'm saying before throwing insults about or making judgements about my education, idiotface. I said he had no sense because he has already decided to buy the machine despite knowing little or nothing about it.

I've no doubt it's an "technological masterpiece" and that sony have to price it that high to make a profit but frankly i don't care. I'm not a Sony fan boy zealot like you two seem to be and i want to wait a while before spending that amount of cash - if not for the price drop then to see how good the games are on each system. Is that ok with you?

The X360 is quite a lot cheaper in my country by the way and we'll just see exactly when the price drop comes shall we? I suspect with three companies in direct competition this particular console war could be interesting.

Oh, one more thing. You seem to imply that i'm stingy with my money and that i don't spend until prices come down. This simply isn't true. I didn't wait for your ma to drop her prices, she was cheap enough as it was.

I'm torn. On the one hand, you guys aren't exactly setting the tone we strive for in these forums. On the other hand, you do seem to have a way with the insults.

Let's try to keep it friendly, and barring that at least strive for civil but creative, 'kay?

Every console will always have 'haters.' I don't think that anyone without bias could claim that any of the three recent consoles are of poor quality. Wii's controller is the most unique, innovative and technologically advances we have seen. The 360 beat its competition to stores and seems to have a great compilation of games. Sony's offering looks stellar but seems to be taking a major chance with its blu-ray disks. Given the choice of picking one right now, I would have to go with the Xbox 360 simply because it has had more time to develop more attractive games.

Gotta disagree with you there. Sony didn't release PS3 at same time as xbox360 so that they would have more time to develop games. X360 rushed many games to meet the launch, and most launch games were either direct ports of xbox versions, or lacked in features. Not to mention, the system itself had many bugs. My friend had to return two x360's within the first month because they just refused to work after a couple of hours of play.

That was what I was speaking of though. Most systems have some sort of bugs in the early stages (PS2 was a disaster if you remember) and since the 360 has been around a while now, it functions properly. This is how I would rate the systems: 360 has the slight edge on the PS2 and Wii which are tied.

One thing I was gonna mention was that it took me about three trips to Best Buy to get a 360 premium bundle that actually worked. Apparently the entire batch of premium bundles that came in were all defective.

People have been saying all the same thing...360 has the edge because its been around longer and XBox Live is well established. Wii has the new controller shit going on (anything else Wii is to be proud of?). And while the PS3 is probably the brawniest of the three with its technical superiority, their online service is dubious, and a lot of reviews have attacked its being non-user friendly (compared to the ease of use that the 360 offers).

Okay, I get it. I agree, if I were buying a PS3 today it wouldn't be for the best right now, but for the promising future ahead. I think sony will pass the x360 by this time next year.

I'm just gunna stick with my Xbox 360...I'm lovin it. The only game that is remotely great on the PS3 right now is Fall of Man, which is dissapointing to me!

Not at all. Considering the power of the hardware I was expecting much more. However the idea of $600 for a console with only one game worth the money is something I can't do right now. Definitely disappointed.
