This "The Crazies" remake is expected to become amazing zombie thriller classic soon.

THE CRAZIES is the remake of the unfortunate flop of George Romero's "The Crazies" of the 1973.

It tells the story of a small town situated in the south of USA. One day people in that town start becoming all criminally insane degenerates, further developing their madness until even physically degenerating, becoming real brain dead zombies, whos only thoughts are to hurt and kill still normal humans.

It must be much better that the usual zombie flick, where zombies just happen suddenly. In this movie, which is a real intelligent satire about our corrupted world, it is also supposed to be shown the whole process of becoming a zombie from simple mental insanity, to mental and physical degenertaion, until finally when everybody becomes real braindead body rotten zombies.

The main concern about the new remake (which really deserves to be made), mainly becosue Romero's movie was a complete mess in technical terms of production and directing, is that in this new remake the director seems to have opted for eliminating the infamous scene where the brain dead father copulates with his brain dead doughter.

It really would be the only thing to regret, as this scene was the most powerful and scariest of the whole film, otherwise filled up with the obvious usual scenes about usual brain dead zombie style midless physical violence.

Lets hope that at the end the diretcor will make the infamous scene back to the movie, in order to become a real horror classic as this movie was always meant to become.

Keep in mind that THE CRAZIES is a Horror Thriller, which is intelligently scary and plot based movie. And not another of those Horror slashers flicks based on mindless violence.
