So, you've seen the previews, and you fancy the idea of watching a bunch of humans stuck in a small American town with beasties waiting to knock them off an appealing premise.

Well, my recommendation is to wander down to your movie rental shop and hire Tremors.
Same premise....but.....

First time or tenth time, it contains better thrills, wittier lines, more emotional resonance than 30 Days, plus it also has a nice little boy/girl subplot, just like Days.

Sink your fangs in that. (had to finish on a vampiric pun)

LOVE the "Tremors" shout out! "Food... for five years. A thousand gallons of gas, air filtration, water filtration. Geiger counter, bomb shelter. Underground golldern monsters!" I'll always remember the line that way because the first time I saw the movie was on broadcast television, so it was edited for language and time. I dunno why, but sometimes I prefer the edited language version in some movies because the alternate words usually make it funnier. "Golldern". Absolutly hilarious!

Ya know, I've ONLY heard bad things about this movie. It looked so friggin' cool in the previews. I shoulda known. It is Josh Hartnett. I think that the only reason he was cool in "Sin City" because you didn't see much of him. Are the action scenes at least worth it?

Ah hell, my simian overlord, the action scenes are boring. Always the same style and full of noise but little thrills.

Danny Huston and Ben Foster are excellent though.

You might be amused to know, ( altho' movie freak you are, you probably already know) that Melissa George, Joshie's g/f is an ex-Aussie soap star.

I can't look at her and see nothin' but a bad tv actor ha ha.
