I actually think that Saw may be a good movie. Probably not very innovative, but still interesting. Seems like a good premise and the trailer looks good. We will just have to wait and see.

It had a great concept but the acting (especially Cary Elwes) was atrocious and severely let the film down. Also, the flashback order of the film didn't wash well with me. They could have done it in chronological order. Good enough, but not exactly 'Se7en, but smarter' like the critics over here are saying.

I completely agree Gacy...the acting was horrid. I may be a little bias since Seven is one of my favorite films, but it just seemed like they were trying too hard in Saw. Yes, it was original compared to what has come out in the last 5 years in the genre, but does it even come close to Seven? Not a chance.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face
A nasty piece of filmaking, in my mind more like the remake of "the Texas chainsaw masacre" in feel than "Se7en". It tries to have it's cake and eat it by at once trying to be a slick piece of movie-making, and also to look gritty and grimy like a "cult" classic. In fact this movie has "cult wannabe" written all over it. It's interesting to me that they couldn't get the movie made in thier native land, and had to go to a mainstrem U.S. film company to get it off the ground.

Hey, for those who call the acting 'horrid', let's see you act like the doctor did at the end with his foot cut off, yelling at Zep. I loved this movie, although it is really sick and twisted, and could actually happen. It was well written, awesome twist-ending, and no, not THE BEST acting, but it's definately different, and cool.
