Have watched Se7en a few times recently...it being one of my favourites....and been wondering whether a sequel would be possible. Thought it would be intersting where it could go...any thoughts?

Hmmm...a sequel to "Se7en." Maybe it'll be called "Ei8ht."

It's a great movie, but I don't think it's the kind of movie that there should be a sequel for. There are plenty of movies that would make better sequels.

BTW, welcome to the site. Smiler

Didn't the main character die in a game of Russion Roullette? With that type of ending it is almost impossible for a sequel.

You could follow Brad Pitt's character as he turns into the killer or some other kinda crazy killer, like a vigilante against serial killers. Ha! Just a thought. I wouldn't want to see it.

No, that's not the ending. The ending to "Se7en" went something like this:

We find out that Kevin Spacey is the crazy killer who has commited all these murders in accordance with the seven deadly sins. But two sins still remain, envy and wrath. Kevin Spacey is envious of Brad Pitt, so he killed his wife and sent Brad Pitt her head in a box. So Pitt shoots Spacey, who wants to die because he has committed the sin of envy, then (if I recall correctly), Brad Pitt then shoots and kills himself, after he has commited the last sin, wrath.

Pretty sweet ending, but doesn't leave much room for a sequel.

Now I remember, I was thinking abut a different movie... But still no room for a sequel.

The sequel is in the surviving charecters.

How they have come to terms with looking that much evil in the eye.

Sure, the Spacey character can not be utilised (or can it?) but there are plenty of other mean people around that could fill the void.

I am not a big supporter of sequels/ prequels, but I can definitely see one here.

For having such a memorable ending, how come people can't remember it? kraftdeluxe's hidden description of the ending is correct except the part about Pitt shooting himself. Other cops are already there when Pitt kills Spacey, so they immediately take Pitt into custody. Pitt is in the back of a police car at the end. That's why my sequel above could work.

Hey, your right. Silly me. You must have made your above post right before I made mine because it wasn't there when I started writing mine about what I thought the ending was.

This was actually a pretty decent movie. Having Brad Pitt's wife's head in the box at the end....genuinely creepy.
