So who's going to come out on top? The Aliens, Predator(s), or Mankind?
For those of you into computer games, this three way battle reminds me of StarCraft: The Aliens being Zerg, Predator being Protoss, and humans being Terran. Weird huh?
Anyway, what are your predictions?
And also, who won in Freddy vs. Jason?

I suspect that they will leave it open ended, as they did with Freddy vs Jason. The studios will not want a cut and dry ending because they will want the possibility of a sequel in case this one brings in a ton o' cash. There have been rumours for quite a while now of a Freddy vs Jason vs Ash movie being done as a follow up. I really hope that Alien vs Predator is decent. It would be a major letdown for both those series if they blew it on this one. I'm sure at the end though, there will be some moment where the Predators take off, appearing to have won, and they cut to an alien egg sack left behind or some crap like that, while whatever bullshit radio rock band de jour starts to play as the credits roll. As long as everything else leading up to that is okay, I'll be satisfied.

I agree, the movie will most definately end without a set descision. Let me rephrase the question: who do you think SHOULD win the battle?
When I thought about it a little bit, I decided that the Aliens should definately win. However, this is assuming that the Aliens are cold blooded. They're reptile-like aren't they? If they're cold blooded then the Predators won't be able to detect them since they see things by detecting heat.
Also, I expect there will be a lot more Aliens than there are Predators since the Aliens can reproduce much faster. They have those disgusting nest things right?
I don't think the Predator weaponry is enough to destroy all of the aliens, especially if they can't see them.
As for the humans, by the looks of the preview there are only like a dozen of them, all of whom (realistically) would be murdered/devoured as soon as they set foot in that huge pyramid. Also they don't have Sojourney Weaver to help them so they're doubly f*cked.
However, my thoughts are based on a very limited knowledge of the films. I've only seen the first Predator and the first two Alien movies. So if I'm lacking important information that would prove my theory wrong, then please tell me.
Oh wait I totally forgot that the Alien blood is acid. But that doesn't neccessarily mean it's warm does it?

The open ending for Freddy vs Jason was when Jason emerged from the water holding Freddy's head in his hands, and Freddy's eyes open and he winks at the screen! Both characters have been established as essentially immortal, so the winner was the studio that made big bucks, and the fans that got the best movie from either series in many years. Winning in a battle between those two can only be a temporary thing as they both have the ability to come back time and time again. As far as who should win between Alien and Predator, I really think it depends on numbers. One on one, the Predator wins, due to it's technology and weapons. As shown in 'Aliens' you can mow down aliens with a standard machine gun. The Predator on the other hand turns invisible, and has long range weapons it can rely on, as opposed to the alien which needs to be close up. If it came down to large numbers though, I would give the edge to the Aliens, especially due to the rapid breeding that K-Dog mentioned. Overall, I think it definately depends on the situation as to who would win. I'm pretty sure that the humans wouldn't stand a chance though, certainly not without Ripley! I also have not seen Predator 2, but I have seen all the Alien movies and K-Dog, I would recommend checking out Alien Resurrection. It's directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the same guy who did Delicattesen and City of Lost Children and has a very similar visual style.

Ths was definitely one of the worst movies of the year. I've always defended Ressurection and that's hard to do with that rediculous manthing but there's nothing really redeeming about this one. I didn't enjoy anything about this movie. It was a major buzz-kill as soon as they hit the ghost town. I could go pages on mistakes and questions.
a real dispointment. it was stupid how humans and predetors worked together when in the game there killing eachother. i had been waiting ages for it .rubbish!
Ridley Scott's original work of genius has been raped and left to die.
I thought Aliens was overrated, though not a bad film. Alien 3 was flawed but had it's moments.
AVP though? What a sack of arse! I was openly laughing in the cinema. My girlfriend thought it was funny too. T-SHIRTS?!!!! IN THE ANTARCTIC?!!
I loved the bit where the two guys are facing death and go 'Have you got any kids?' - Just for that missing emotional piece. CHEESE!! And the 'umma-gumma Zulu warriors harked back to the racist nonsense at the end of Independence day.
Actually - maybe AVP is so bad it's good. We laughed a lot!
I actually enjoyed AVP. I did hope for more Alien on Predator action but, what they did have was great! I went to see an Alien fight a Predator, & I got that. Hand to hand combat with an Alien? Where are you ever going to see that? It really was what I went for. I really don't understand how people could've had a problem with it. What were you expecting? Hell, at least they didn't give the Aliens & Predators stupid unknown weaknesses like in Freddy VS Jason. Freddy afraid of fire? Jason afraid of water? Come on! By the way, this movie was based off of the popular comic series, not the trophy room display in Predator 2. In fact, that was a homage to the comic! *Spoiler Alert* The fight between the Predator & the Alien Queen at the end was AWESOME!!!!
