This guy sounds quite bit like David Bowie. Actually, I'd say he sounds more like Bowie, more consistently, than anyone I've ever heard. Not that that's an automatic positive, but his voice does have that Bowie-esque liquid quality to it, which is kinda alright in my book.
Anyway, the music is pretty much mid-tempo bluesy rock. Anyone else heard this yet?
EDIT: I'd probably be remiss not to mention the strong guitar-playing of Robin Trower. For fans of guitar-centric blues rock... here's something for you in 2008.
Of course. Yeah, I know Cream. I didn't know Jack Bruce was in that band, but I haven't looked into his backstory at all. I make that mistake a lot because I'm so hyperfocused on being current, so I get a kind of self-imposed tunnel vision for whatever year it is.
Yeah, that's Jack Bruce. It's also Robin Trower, who was the guitarist for Procol Harum (famous for the smash hit "Whiter Shade Of Pale" and a few minor hits like "Conquistador" and "A Salty Dog"). Trower went on to have a fairly successful solo career, releasing about a dozen albums. I believe he made two records with Jack Bruce.
