Is anyone else curious to see what Atreyu is going to bring, with the new single sounding the most mainstream of anything Atreyu has did I'm a bit worried that we have lost the hardcore days where Atreyu would scream about killing and violence. After all, they are on a record owned by Disney, and that's definitely not a good thing. If Atreyu ever opens for Hillary Duff then I will never listen to them again.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Jules: Normally, both your asses would be dead as fucking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this shit while I'm in a transitional period so I don't wanna kill you, I wanna help you. But I can't give you this case, it don't belong to me. Besides, I've already been through too much shit this morning over this case to hand it over to your dumb ass.

Atreyu- still good, but oddly soft now

the fact that they are on a record label for disney scares the crap outta me. i have no idea what to expect now.

but there is a possibility that they will become a "gateway" band where people get introduced to the hardcore side of the supergenre known as rock. my gateway was AFI when DECEMBERUNDERGROUND was released. after listening to it for weeks on end, i found myself listening to kill caustic. and suddenly i was exposed to a world of rock.

and now i listen to almost all rock. Bullet For My Valentine, UnderOath, System of a Down, Sum 41, The Eagles, Hendrix, Papa Roach, Alice Cooper, Aiden, Beneath the Sky, Alesana, A Day to Remember, The Offspring, NOFX, Pearl Jam, Guns N Roses, The Devil Wears Prada, Disturbed, The Fray, Live, Faith No More, Escape the Fate, Guttermouth, Jimmy Eat World, blink-182, Three Days Grace, Trivium, Metallica, Megadeth, Tool, Alice In Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, Limp Bizkit, the old Linkin Park, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lostprophets, Avenged Sevenfold, blessthefall, Zeppelin, rainydayfuckparade, Saosin, Silverstein, Suicidal Tendancies, The USed, Van Halen, Yellowcrad, A Wilhem Scream, The Eagles of Death Metal, Modern English, Mastadon, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, All Shall Perish, Unearth, Children of Bodom, The Who.

all that came from listening to AFI. before that i didnt even know there was a genre called metal. so maybe Atreyu will become one of those bands that opens up people's eyes to the world of rock.

or atleast thats just what i hope all this poppy crap will make them become. because without gateway bands people never really discover good music.

cant spell crap without rap.

all this poppy crap.
Good call.

Actually, it was deeply saddening to see the likes of The Who, Hendrix, Zeppelin, and Tool. Next to Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach.

Welcome to the site, most of our posters are inordinately knowledgeable music geeks and hopefully if you spend enough time here, we can show you where the good stuff is. I'll start by linking.
